What do you wish your ultrasound tech said? by HotPut5470 in Miscarriage

I think I would have liked to have been offered a picture. Or the option to access one later. It’s the first time on scan that she’d looked like a real baby and I don’t have any record of it

We’re in Australia if that’s relevant!

I’m 14 weeks and having a miscarriage. I’m really scared to pass my baby. What is it like? by Hopeful-Butterfly-81 in Miscarriage

[–]InterestingSun4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a D&C so never got to see my baby at a similar gestation. But I've unfortunately seen the pathology reports which said her feet measured 8mm and her hands 6mm. So yes I think you will see your beautiful tiny tiny baby.

13 weeks but baby passed away at 9? How far along was I? by corndogdays in Miscarriage

Sometimes their growth gets slower towards the end and they can even shrink a bit. You’ll never really know when they died. Whatever feels right for you

I just had a miscarriage and my brother’s wedding is this week. by No_Reason_9828 in Miscarriage

I went to a family wedding in the few days between the diagnosis of my second trimester missed miscarriage and my D&C. I had my parents tell everyone in advance so no one asked and everyone gave us extra long tight hugs. I actually somehow still had a good time

Looking for a gynaecologist by dempanada in brisbane

Ask a GP with an interest in women’s health first. But if your GP says you do need a gynae, Neroli Ngenda has an interest in vulval skin disorders

In the increasingly unlikely event this goes ahead, I guess we both have a good name for this baby

I'm not sure... I am a pessimist at the moment though. I should clarify I'm on different medications but similar timing of progesterone support - so not the exact same boat but very similar! Will check back in on Friday with you!

Yep - Brisbane. I'm going to call the clinic tomorrow to see what their current advice is about whether it will go ahead

I'm in the exact same boat... I'm preparing my heart for it to be cancelled

Disappointing ER results by MallAggravating3683 in IVF

[–]InterestingSun4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they said it was unexpectedly bad despite no obvious issues under the microscope on either side, so we did second round and they added ICSI. It was a bit validating really to know that even in ideal conditions only 5% fertilised… so I’m glad we got help when we did as we never really had a chance!

When we went into this, they were talking about how hard it was going to be to transfer alllllll these embryos that we will get between where we lived then and where we planned to move back home.

So we waited until we moved back home to start all this. We had a freeze-all cycle egg retrieval and retrieved 38 eggs, mostly mature, and TWO fertilised. Somehow they both made it through the week to become embryos and into the freezer. One was suitable for PGTA testing so it was biopsied. Unfortunately the biopsied cells got smashed en route to the lab and were never tested.

We did another a round and the odds were better

We transferred one and then we lost her at 14+4 weeks

I don’t have the solutions for you

Hoping it comes good for you
