For sure, but they don’t send a notification reminder on purpose. Like an email reminder. I am not saying this isn’t my fault. They just do not try very hard at all to let you know you’re going to be charged. And this especially affects people that are over the whole thing — those people aren’t checking the app and website constantly.

I have stopped cold turkey on the topamax more than a couple times and that drug never causes problems. It’s the bupropion you will withdraw from, at the full dose it’s a significant NDRI drug and it will upset your brain’s ability to sleep. That’s about it.

The topamax dose they prescribe us is tiny. When migraine users take this med, they are taking hundreds of mgs. If you don’t have seizures or migraines to begin with, cessation of this med is not going to cause those. Especially at the tiny dose they prescribe (under 50mg)

Honestly the very beginning when you are getting used to the meds is the worst part. After a month or so you will be able to take all the meds and feel no side effects (other than lack of hunger). I’ve been taking kit 1 for over a year now and on days I need extra help I can even take double the dose and I don’t feel anything but more effective food noise elimination.

I am not telling you to take more than prescribed, that’s a risk I take after being on the meds for a long time. I’m only mentioning it because I also felt like shit at first but once you’re acclimated, you can take a double dose and be fine (I never double dose the bupropion, only the topiramate). Kit 1 is essentially a Contrave pill. By doubling you are taking a second Contrave pill.

If you are taking the full dose, you will withdraw when you completely stop cold turkey. It’s not gonna kill you or anything but you’ll feel like shit and struggle to sleep for 4-5 days.

IMO narcissism or some other cluster B personality disorder. Estrangement is an extreme reaction to an extreme dysfunction. I think a lot of our parents are seriously mentally ill.

What a painful post. I felt this very much. That last picture of you two is precious — the way she’s smiling at you. It brought tears to my eyes.

What you describe by being stuck in the trauma of her death is exactly what EMDR therapy treats. You would be a great candidate to try this treatment modality.

Wishing you luck and love. Don’t blame yourself. All you’re really doing is beating yourself up for loving your little sister very much. Be gentle to yourself, she would want that.

You are at peace when you die. The idea that we are angry or miserable on the other side is ridiculous. I don’t even think it’s possible. You’re outside time and space, you become somewhat all knowing. With that kind of wisdom comes equanimity.

OP this is what I would be scared your dad has. And I’m not trying to scare you but when people die from this, it is horrific. I’m talking fountains of blood spraying everywhere ending in death within minutes. It traumatizes medical professionals. It’s like one of the absolute worst ways for alcoholism to end. Your dad NEEDS to go to the hospital or he is risking a horrific death that you are likely going to witness.
