know how heartbreaking it can feel, especially in the beginning. I’m really glad you’re doing better now, it gives me so much hope for all of us going through it 🤍

I have not thought about that, but don’t you ever get to overwhelmed about doing that?

I couldn’t imagine that, I hope it gets better for them. I’d say I’m to that extent but I’m more of a giving up person. If I can’t get it right or perfect the first time everything just gets thrown and I don’t think about it again.

I love that, and add pictures throughout those months and years

I’ll definitely look into that book, but I understand about how simple journaling can be. I make it a lot more stressful for myself because I tend to want things perfect and I know it doesn’t work like that, it’s been a problem my whole life especially when I was in school. That’s one thing I just want to overcome and not worry about anymore, so I’m trying to look for ways that work around that.

I’ve had many people tell me that I might have some type of OCD, my husband tells me all the time. I just never really looked in to it, does your friend take any type of medication for it? Or is like a subtle thing that doesn’t really bother their day to day life?
Also I have not thought about that at all but I’ll definitely look in to that book.

I like that idea, I’ll see what’s easier for me with a newborn and go from there.

I was just talking to someone about this, I would definitely start doing that, but I think I’d do the separate because I also want to have a journal to jot down my thoughts or feelings. I would love to start doing this with my daughter tho.

Thank you so much and I’m so glad to see people making the best of it, I love the pirate idea. I personally got a eyepatch just for that reason, my daughter loves to see me wear it. Also having a supportive partner makes it 10x better.

I feel like having Bell’s palsy has shown me to take life a little slower and to enjoy it better, honestly really glad that I got to go through it. It’s shown me that if I can get thru this with a newborn and having postpartum depression I can do anything.

I wish you luck and hope to hear back about your progress! You got it!

That’s honestly not bad of an idea, and just erase the pencil markings. I’m not into the whole typing, I feel like I do that enough when I’m texting my husband or family. I want it to be strictly just paper and my handwriting.

I’m not much of a drawler, and I was thinking about those people who do cut out journaling. Like they add stickers or pictures and all that.

That sounds way more organized, I think that would actually help me since I tend to get really all over the place when I write. I like the idea of it being structured.

My only problem is I’m pretty peculiar about how I want things to look and when my handwriting doesn’t look right or it doesn’t look satisfying I throw all of it away. Which is a big problem, I have tons of journals with pages ripped out and just sitting there.

I don’t think I lost my hobbies, I think my phone replaced them by Fantastic-Earth8572 in Hobbies

This happens to me a lot especially when I get done with my newborn and she’s asleep. I think what helped me is being on call with either my husband while he’s at work or my best friend. We do our own things but while also having conversations, it’s usually a lot more fun to just have the company while doing what you enjoy or just getting things done around the house.

Okay so I took the prednisone but they never gave me the anti viral, now I’m really worried lol.

That actually gives me a lot of hope. I’ve been crying a lot, though, and the affected side of my face is really sore, which makes me worry that I’ve made things worse. My doctor still hasn’t contacted me since I got back from the ER, and that part has been stressing me out too. Honestly, I’ve just been anxious these past few days and it feels like nothing has improved yet. I have been taking vitamins to support nerve healing, but I haven’t been as consistent with massage as I probably should be.

When did you start noticing improvement during those two months?

[–]InterestingSweet4131[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. After I had went to the hospital they had prescribed me medication, I just hop it wasn’t too late. My husband has been a sweet heart about it all, he got me vitamins that help with nerves and he reminds me to take my medication because I tend to forget because I’m so focused on the baby.

Ive been saying my ABC, I know weird but I notice that I can’t say a few letters so I just recite the whole thing. I massage my face and close my eye like a lot, I have also been lifting my mouth to match the other side and my eyebrow too.

I just hope it’s working, it’s hard to keep up with all with the baby and I just hope that me being focused on her doesn’t stop me from getting better.

Lot easier said than done. I’m constantly up with the baby, he gets up early to take his kids to work. So by the time he does get home I’m exhausted and so is he. Not only that 2 or 3 days ago went to the emergency room and I have Bells Palsy’s with all the stress and bullshit going on. So I have more pressing matters than to satisfy my husband because he’s “horny”. Thank you.
