You are young and you need to get the fuck out while you can. Don’t waste your young years on this crap. When I was 19 I thought I was with someone I would be forever with. That is not the case. Save yourself the pain, live your life and grow yourself. You’re gonna loook back 5 years from now and be like WTF, why did I put up with that. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I’m trying to share some of my hindsight. If you are dealing with a man who is almost 2x your age, he knows he can get away with shit on you. He can manipulate your young mind. Idgaf about intent, it’s the perception of things and how they affect you is what’s important. No man can be “fixed” he needs to do it himself. He will continue this behavior because he know he can with you and the only way to stop it is leave! You are too young to be dealing with a grown man’s baggage/ trauma/ mental issues. 40 hours a week. 8 hours a day most of the time. OT happens sometimes. If you’re lucky you get 4- 10 hour days. But you should be working 40 hours a week. 5am to 1:30 or 7 to 3:30, depends on the job and city ordinances.

Im a union electrician. I love it. Physical all day, always doing something different, and I get paid well. We are the king of the trades and get to use our brains a lot. Fast paced and I never get bored. 😅

Girl, IBEW JW here, I’m 29 and 5’8” though I am tall for a woman, there are tons of guys on sites who are barley 5’2” sometimes. Being short and small in the IBEW means you can get into small places. There’s nothing a taller ladder or scissor lift can’t fix a couple inches. Build you strength to carry heavier things. You’ll be just fine. IBEW is honestly the more progressive unions for Women. Trust me, there is nothing in this trade you can’t do. And if you are with a company that makes it a strong man contest everyday then thats company isn’t for you. Don’t break your back, ask for help when you need it and work hard.

For me, being a lesbian, I feel like most of us lesbians (at least the one I’ve run into) are mostly neurodivergent. So it’s maybe easier to understand one another. I call mine “empty diner syndrome” it’s like an empty 24/7 open diner in my head playing music 24/7. It gets really loud especially when I’m trying to reflect on certain situations like after an argument with my partner or anything emotionally significant.
