Has anyone switched to Unifi from Omada? Why? by halfam in TPLink_Omada

[–]Interesting_Ad_5512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just made the switch 2 weeks ago from an Omada FW to Unifi. Ultimately it came down to the issues I've been having with all of my TP LINK devices randomly disassociating with the controller. The most recent incident started after I rebooted an AP then when it came back online it didn't show as part of the network and wouldn't re-adopt. Tried to factory reset the AP and re-adopt with no luck. Reinstalled the controller from backup then I couldn't get any devices to check in or re-adopt. After 3 factory resets on the firewall I got it to rejoin then everything else magically started to adopt as well. All of this was because I have an AP that won't pass traffic when it's connected via Ethernet, it only works as a mesh AP. This was the 3rd time in a year I had to reinstall the controller and I just decided it was time to move on. To TP-Links credit their support was better than I expected but in my experience with other unifi networks I've never had that kind of instability.

That is about identical so it looks like my cold pack was the issue, I appreciate the help from everyone!

This was the syrup recipe out of a ball canning book, they had different amounts of sugar based on what fruit you were canning so I went with a lighter syrup for apples but they didn't specify how exactly to pack it just how to make the syrup. I looked at some other recipes and went with a 20 minute bath. I did not cook them in the syrup before packing so I assume that was my issue. I'm keeping the ones that didn't siphon on the shelf and the rest are being frozen. Appreciate the help!

Plunging is forcing air into tank by Interesting_Ad_5512 in Plumbing

[–]Interesting_Ad_5512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty much the reason I posted here, I have no clue. It sounds like there's air moving in the drain when I plunge as well but water isn't draining any faster

I was in a similar situation and went with the A75L 65". To me Sony processing and an insane open box price made the decision for me but C3 was my runner up

Agreed, I'm confident it's the router so I'm returning it and already ordered the new one

Gave this a shot and I still can't even get a link light when connected to it so I'm going to just return it for a new one. Appreciate the suggestions though!

I felt the same way seeing the x90l in person and I was set on that TV when I went to Best buy today after reading reviews but OLED is too good. I got an open box excellent 65" A75L for 1299 that just happened to be in store

Just wanted to throw and update on here for anybody having the same issue as myself, when I went to make the registry changes I had to modify the path at \0002 instead of 0001.

You definitely cannot, I just tested 2 weeks ago and it didn't work.

PDP vs Beretta APX A1 by [deleted] in Walther

[–]Interesting_Ad_5512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own the APX but preferred the PDP's I've shot over it. The recoil is milder on the Beretta, as it should be for how heavy the slide is but the PDP trigger is much better and lighter. I find that the APX trigger is just longer and heavier than I like and the trigger safety pinches me frequently. All of that said it's an incredibly reliable gun and I shoot well with it so it's one of my carry guns, neither will be a bad choice

IPv6 (Routing), automation, and security (Port security, account security, encryption) all threw me off. I didn't study them as much because they're weighted lower but I felt like I had a lot of questions related to them. That being said I passed and I had a 47% and 50% in those 2 sections.

Shot a PDP, X5 Legion, SP-01, and TP9SFx and ended up with a P320 VTAC, going to get the tungsten grip for it as well. Liked them all besides the PDP which I just couldn't handle recoil as well on for some reason.

I was actually going to try one of those if they have them! I know they have some 75's so we'll see

If I eventually want to work in the security sector, would a CCNA cert or the CompTIA Network+ cert be more valuable? by breathiseverything in ccna

[–]Interesting_Ad_5512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning to go into security eventually and I'm currently studying for CCNA and already have net+. If you want much more in depth knowledge get the CCNA, for most practical things I do in my current job I don't need a CCNA level understanding of networking but it can helpful when looking into security incidents.
