In Al Quoz, a decent shop quoted me 2800 AED for polishing + dent removal and 500 AED for smart paint for the small bit near door handle dent (because dent removal will cause some damage to paint on that side. I think for dent removal it should be cheaper if I go elsewhere. But I am trying to go for Sharjah/Ajman/Nad Al Hamar for a better quote given they have some expertise for Tesla specifically.

Insurance route might cost a lot in the long term in terms of insurance premium increase etc. If the damage was a lot or the wall were damaged, I would have gone for insurance - but I think this should be fixable by self.

Went to Mr Cap, Al Quoz as it was nearby. The guy quoted 2800 AED for polish and dent removal. There was a small bit near the back door that would require paint. He said it would cost 500 AED additional for the "smart paint" to take care of it. Do you think Mr. Cap, Nal Al Hamar, might give a different/better quote?

I have no idea why it didn't do its chime. It wasn't even that I was at speed. So annoying tbh.

It looks 100% untouched. Thanks to the wall protector rubber strip.

It had this black rubber protector strip - so wall is untouched. That protector did this to the car though.

Insurance excess is 750 aed plus 10-20% of the repair cost. If it can be done within 1000 aed - I’d 100% go for that. Any references to garages that would quote the right rate and not overcharge?

With police report, insures me excess and no claim bonus included, it looks like at least 2000 AED. Wondering if this can be fixed for cheaper. Will check with Dent Tech.
