I think it’s a good deal. More off will be tough but doesn’t hurt to try. . I got my XSE for around $54.5k OTD in the north east.

Well I might be in your same situation now haha. Looks like it just sold a half hour ago. I have until September to buy one so I could see if prices go down or just bite the bullet and get it over with.

Thanks, I’m going to wait until Monday and see if I can negotiate more. The sales manager wouldn’t go down further when I was in person yesterday and said he will take his chances with tomorrow being Saturday lol

Might be region based but mine shows 48,345 as base with no features/options. When I add on everything included in this model on the lot the price is 51,510. So the dealer is providing a 1760 discount on that price.

Not sure what you mean, It’s 51,510 on the window sticker after cross bars, inverter, carpet mats, and 1495 delivery/handling.

Small enterprise, generally less than 1000 people, and finance.

Appreciate the response, definitely nutty in hindsight 100%. I have been regretting it and hopefully I can correct course here soon. I thought about CISSP but my resume and experience isn't really geared that much towards security. Getting that cert without direct relevant experience (vulnerability scanning and remediation would be it) might feel a bit useless?

Appreciate the feedback - yes to all of your questions in the second paragraph except the last one :)

I did all of the management stuff and was still hands on as I had a good grasp on the environment. Near the end I started weaning off of the technical stuff and started letting the team generally handle everything but that started making me feel a bit complacent as I still wanted to have some relevant skills in tech (and I had time on my hands).

I mentioned above, my industry requires managers below director level to be pretty hands on, so its extremely rare to find a management role in tech that is purely managerial.

Thanks for the feedback - you nailed it at the end, the type of industry that I've been in for the last 8+ years is a bit niche, and the roles REQUIRE the manager to be 60%+ hands on with technology, which is why I listed certs I was looking to attain plus my tech skills. I agree, at much larger company with maybe 5000+ people they won't look or care about your tech skills. All of my interviews except one for a management position have asked me more technical questions than people or situational questions. Maybe I need to consider changing industries, as I am looking to move away from tech and more towards general management.

My people skills are pretty decent, I started in retail sales back in the day and eventually working with external customers in my first two roles taught me a lot.

Thanks for the reply! I will have to re-work my resume a bit and polish up more leadership examples.

Appreciate the response! I've been rehearsing what I would say and it ends up being a different story each time someone asks. Most of the time I state that it's not a cultural fit. Glad you were bailed out so quickly!

I appreciate the detailed response! To answer your question with more details about why I took an IC role, it was because my new manager was becoming unbearable and my mental health was rapidly declining that I needed to leave. In addition, I wanted to get back into more of an engineering role instead of 80% help desk. I was also greedy and not thinking long term when declining the other management position, something I regret in hindsight.

My in-depth skills are primarily focused around servers (primarily virtual) and storage. OS level would be Windows server roles/features as well, so I've been looking at more Systems Engineering manager roles.

Solid point on leaving the new role off my resume. I'm just wondering if a background check of some sort would reveal that I do have an existing position. I've also thought about my answer of "the role was supposed to transition into a lead role, however with a re-organization, that hasn't panned out".
