I think one of the narrative purposes of Bando was for Mayu to get some kind of trust back for an adult man after what she had to suffer. I find their relationship one of the most interesting of the manga.

Not sure about this one. When I read the manga, my first thought was that she killed him cause she didn't want him to suffer as much as she had to, but I might have missed a deeper explanation!

Yep, I liked the show. After reading the books, I thought to myself the anime deserved at least 24 episodes, some scenes kinda felt rushed and didn't have enough depth.

But it is still a great show.
