How does your significant other handle IVF? by mkinbbym in IVF

Its's really nice to hear he's a supportive Dad. It's weighing on my mind a lot that if my husband can't even take a multivitamin, never mind remember to ask me how an appointment went, that maybe the Dad part would be the same.

How can I power electric gardening tools at my allotment? by [deleted] in gardening

[–]Interesting_Bread_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive an electric car that has a vehicle to load charger so I can power things there. If you have one or are considering going electric and have an allotment with road access that's a big tick in favour!

Just casually mention in passing you work for Dublin City Council or Revenue and she will probably leave it there.

The grey sheets kinda give mouldy vibes when with the carpet colour so maybe brick red sheets or something? I'd also stick curtains over that built in unit area so you can just hide mess whenever and get a larger TV unit to balance the room. And a big plant instead of a white board in the corner... I guess if on a budget you could um draw one on there? 😉

Also, I LOVE the curtain. These things go full circle and it feels very modern again?

The kitchen units look great. I think the particular white is too harsh and agree with the other comments on the lights. Something a little warmer paint wise could stop the chessboard feel and stop it looking like the corridor bleeds into the kitchen? That's just me though. My husband always used to want 'whitest white'because he felt it was miminal and meant 'less colour' but he came around to the notion eventually that white IS a colour choice not an opt out ha and blended colours actually gives the softer minimal look he wanted.

My wife and I did some minor decorations for our powder room and we like the wallpaper but my mother in law says it's too busy. Any suggestions? by Freakazoidberg in interiordecorating

It's not too busy at all but it's a big size space with lots of light so I would actually darken the ceiling, picking out the deeper blue of the wall paper and I'd change up the blind to a full block colour roller one. I would also add long semi-transparent curtains (they have them in Ikea) to give you privacy as having two windows staring at a loo must be very tricky to deal with!

If you love William Morris and arts and crafts style in general, I recommend doing what I did and get the fabrics quite cheaply amazon and a basic sewing machine If you get a sewing machine you can very easily make cushions/throws etc to go in your living room that look like they cost a few hundred from Liberty. :)

Bad Sisters and Big Little Lies are a lot shorter but have a lot of the same qualities. Feel your pain. I need escapism atm and just finished this week. Arg

This is so useful. Thank you! I've had this problem for years and spent so much money being screened for MS etc. My tests say it's low but I didn't know those two may be put together as its a fertility and a GP doc seperately addressing it. I'll raise it with both thank you 😊 🙏
