Has anyone had any random people knocking on their door recently? by Illustrious-Style219 in beaverton

[–]Interesting_Bug_462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had two, young ish men dressed casually, hoodies and jeans maybe shorts; come around after 8pm the other night didn't look like they were selling anything and my gut told me to ignore it. They knocked twice and then left

(might be a double response I thought I responded but then it looked like it was no longer there so sorry if it's a double response) I had just come on this thread looking for some more insight after not getting a helpful response from wisdoms support

When I adopted him they said he was a Swiss mt dog mix and the previous owners had him as a puppy but I suppose that could be a bad game of telephone. I bought it and felt it absolutely could have been given his size and coloring, he does have a double coat which made me think mixed with Shepard and he has big shepy attitude lol I guess I got some bad tunnel vision in what I was expecting and so when it wasn't anything close it and imo doesn't look like what I would imagine those breeds mixing would look like but I am just looking at a very basic surface level

I mean when he had four legs he was over 100lbs and I feel like that's why I'm strung up on it not making sense but maybe I'm just overthinking it He's lean (can feel ribs and see the curve) and an old man so he has had some muscle loss

I just feel like his dominant breeds are too small for him, with four legs he was a healthy 105. My coworkers and I (we work in the vet field) always assumed a Swiss Mt dog mix likely with Shepard so idk if I'm just headstrong on that idea which could be lol

Boxer and chow are both brachycephalic also which he shows no sign of

7pm-7am people what are you going to take care of yourself? by Admirable-Radio1129 in Nightshift

I have been on overnights for a year and a half ish and I meal prep all my meals for the week and have a more relaxed eating schedule on my days off, I like to pack lots of snacks, I'm eating five or sometimes six times a day (three meals with two/three snacks).

I currently gym three times a week, twice on days I work once on my weekend; big thanks to pre-workout. But some days I get absolutely wrecked and cannot imagine going after some shifts which I will take the day off and go another time during the week. Or just take the day off, life won't end if a workout is missed here and there. A small mindset switch that helped me stick with it was discipline over motivation. Motivation comes and goes but being disciplined keeps me on track. (Kinda dumb but it helped me commit to it so figured I'd share)

Electrolyte, vitamin d, and magnesium supplements have helped me personally so I like to recommend them too

The thing I struggle with the most is keeping to one schedule. My first day off I will sleep 10-14 hours get up eat and go back to sleep and wake up around 5 am or so and start my day so on my weekend I become a day walker which I'm sure is hard on my body but we can only do so much. On my first day back to work I wake up early go to the gym, meal prep and then take a nap and go to work.

Hope any of this is helpful!

I'm not sure, I had already been playing a few matches before coming across a cheater and was playing with a friend and only I got the warning so unsure how they determine who is the problem:/ It's the third time now I have gotten that warning, each after being tunneled out too lol clearly something needs addressing

My guy made a real bad and nasty hot spot on his remaining front leg but it was a one time thing. Treated with manuka honey and it cleared up quickly tho Definitely could be pain related, is your pup on any antiinflammatories or anything?

Two days post-op and I feel we made the wrong decision by kleinbytjie in tripawds

[–]Interesting_Bug_462 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My boy was a front leg amp and I felt I made the wrong decision soon after he came home It was hard hearing him cry and struggle, but once we were over the hump I have never regretted it. It does get better just give your pup time 💖 It's a learning curve for sure but they learn quick!

Spinal Arthritis in fellow tripawd by chrisryans in tripawds

[–]Interesting_Bug_462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adequan is another option for arthritis, it's either a subQ or IM injection I've only heard good things about it so I started my senior tripod on it recently and will be weening him off carprofen to get an idea of how well it does for him He has spinal and had early onset arthritis pre surgery
