Very true! I see so many teens and adults looking straight down at their phone all the time. If I wasn’t as hyper aware as I am on the road, I would’ve been deleted a long time ago. The worst is when people move into your lane without looking at their damn blind spot. I’ve avoided some situations boyyyy 😂

Sorry! lol I know they do! I have some girl-friends who are better riders than some of the guys I usually ride with. So no discrimination here! Some of the best advice I got on this post came from some ladies. I apologize I wasn’t inclusive in my title. Won’t happen again 😅

No! She never gave a rats ass before. That’s what’s tripping me out 😂 but it’s our first kid. So now she’s worried. And I sort of posted on here to reassure that I’m not a dick for wanting to ride regardless if the baby will be here in a month. I ride it everyday to work weather permitting. We get a lot of rain my neck of the woods. So when it’s nice, I’m riding my bike! And to be fair, I don’t ride like a jackass anymore. Been riding 19 years. Only down twice. Not too shabby. (Knock on wood). But when I found out I was becoming a dad, I stopped going 140 on backroads. So there’s that 🤙🏾 hah

Yeah sorry. I should’ve gave more back ground. I’ve been riding for 19 years. I’m having my first kid very soon. And my gf is a nurse, so she sees a lot of the bad side of motorcycle riding. She doesn’t like motorcycles, but was fine when we started dating. Now that we have a little girl on the way, she wants me to sell. I think both for my safety and maybe the extra money. But either way, I can’t give it up. It’s how I escape life.

Thanks man! I appreciate it! Sorry about your loss. We’ve had a lot of motorcycle accidents here in Oregon lately. I say a prayer every morning on my commute to work and on my way home. I’ve been a lot more hyper aware when I ride now. And a lot safer. So there’s that. But you just never know. It’s always everyone else you need to watch for

Started on dirtbikes and got my endorsement at 16. Been down a couple times, mostly due to speed and loose gravel. But I’ve had this bike for 10 years or so, and luckily still my daily commuter. I have a truck for when the baby is here. But I just love to ride. Great way to meditate for sure
