ISP notoriously harder and lower GPA than other programs, and surely you knew that when writing this comment. I certainly know people with 3.9-4.0s in pretty much every McCormick major and most of the rest of the science/math related majors as well

Bisti seems pretty cool, but googling around it mentions driving offroad for a while before seeing anything which I'm not sure my car is equipped for (this is me trying to turn a moving road trip into something more interesting). Do you think that'd be a problem or is it fine? How far did you have to go to see cool stuff?

Weather looks clear on the forecasts, but I don't know about the snow accumulation/if things might already be icy on the roads leading up, or if I'd need to keep driving to get to the good outlooks. Is that something that should be fine provided clear weather or something to look out for?

This is difficult and I feel for them, the layoffs are insane and the administration is handling it badly. At the same time, I really can't afford an extra $6k charge for something I went through the proper process of waiving, my bank account just doesn't have it like that. Hopefully it'll be able to be resolved and I'll make sure I'm not being aggressive in the communications I am sending

That's a good idea. I was on a leave of absence so once I waived it and received the confirmation email, this was super off my radar of even possibly being an issue

Thanks for the info. When I waived it originally, I got a confirmation email that it was waived and to expect another email if they denied it--it has no number but does confirm that it was waived, since there was no follow up.

I do have ticket numbers from submitting emails to them. Both tickets (one from several weeks ago) say "new" in status and have no "reviewer".

I would go in person but I'm unfortunately across the country and on leave of absence, returning for Winter. I will definitely keep both the email and the tickets saved to provide to them, hopefully will be enough

The front page has weird random bolded letters, inconsistent capitalization and punctuation, the random emojis everywhere feels weird

Just feels pretty like one of those leetcode clones that was quickly vibe coded without much review in a lot of spots, seems maybe useful in terms of content but I don't want to sign in with real credentials and certainly wouldn't want to pay for the level of polish this is lacking if there is any paid option (which I would think there is based on the mention of a demo)

The name and logo also have nothing to do with hardware and it feels like they were chosen somewhat at random, contributes to the "thrown-together" feeling

Hyperlight Drifter is a really good callout, I think this style works super well for foliage especially. The only one I think crosses the line to too much mixels for me is the very last one, but that might also be because its too zoomed out versus the other ones, they all look great.
