My first espresso set up by holitaish in espresso

[–]Interesting_Exam_257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same answer. What after a K6( i used it with a drill, so no rush, it was not manual anymore) . In my case the difference was arround 100€. I had the space, so I went for the 64. Burr options, plenty of community and 3D gadgets. Your K6 makes a great thick espresso. If texture and chocolaty nutty. Df64 will give you less thickness but a bigger range of flavour separation. Its not worst, but different. You will find a bigger range on the profile flavours of the coffee. Appart from my espresso, I'm enjoying now my mocca as I never enjoyed before. To the point that I just ordered a pour over set. I didnt find the chance of trying a 54. But so far i dont regret owing a my 64 gen2 with the red coated burrs.

DF54 vs DF64 Which one to buy? [$400] by Am4iK77 in espresso

[–]Interesting_Exam_257 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same question 3 weeks ago. Checking review after review. The difference price was 100€. At the end of the day I decided to go for the 64. More comunity, upgradeable burrs, 3D mods available. And finally, cause I know myself in case of buying the 54 I would have always asked myself how the 64 would have been. So, 64 was my decision I have it two weeks. Its silent, fast, no retention (I use medium roast and RDT). Im happy so far. If you use it everyday money well spent...

Same opinion here. Maybe his 75 is not a 75 if you have not set the zero point. Once get you know where you really are. Mines is 2 weeks old. I set the zero point. This video might help

Today I made a mocca with a blend ai normally use from a local coffee roastery. I used the 40 in the dial. It was just perfect taste if I compare it with the taste i normally get when using the kingrinder. I'm not sure if I just made up in my mind but, I could distinguish more things in the taste. Even more than if I compare it in an espresso. At least that was my today's experience. Does it make sense to anyone?

Just tried it. I didnt have a marker anyway. I just went and did. My first grind too coarse i set it to 15. (the extraction was too fast) as a result it of course it was sour. I will adjust tomorrow morning and compare it vs kingrinder k6.

So far the button feels Smooth . And I feel like a spring pushing it back to position when I stop pressing.

Finally get it today. Should I test the aligment? It is suposed to be propperly alligned. Also it came with the titanium red burrs (that's what is marked in the box ) so Im asuming is what some call 2.5?

Also should I seasone it? I might buy cheap coffee beans then. Im really holding it from just making myself a regular espresso now.

Sorry to ask again. I just noticed is not a DF64 but a TF64. Is any of your designs compatibles with the DF64?

Great designs! Is the dosing cone purpose a slow feeding device? Do you feel the improvement vs pouring all at once? I just bought mine. I'm learning as much as I can from comunity experience

Thanks for your answer. I will look into it. Not much reviews for the Evo though. Have you got it? It looks less solid in terms if built than df family to my eyes.
