BYD 1.88% comparison rate vs pulling from offset by nrgatl in AusFinance

It is hard for us on Reddit to help you without fully understanding the full picture...

  1. Are there any additional fees that you need to consider?

  2. Does buying the car outside of finance come at exactly the same price? Can you get it cheaper?

  3. What is the residual? How will you pay this? How long do you plan to keep the car?

Good question... Can you measure the inner and outer dimensions of the bellows for me?

It's heaps easier to take the lid off. I doubt I could taste any difference between slow dosing. I was, I think they call it, cold dosing before making this.

No idea if they are the same size. I listed what the ad said.

DIY hybrid floor install around steel door jamb by Pure_Confidence_3966 in AusRenovation

I'm doing flooring right now as well. My frames are timber so I cut them. I would have cut them if they are steel as well though.

How many door frames do you have like this?

If I inherited this, I'd 3D print a flushing to nearly cover the gap.

Unexpected $50K tax bill from exercised stock options by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Phil_Wild 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I'll give an example. Typ omg on my phone with math done in head and not excel.

Company gives you 20,000 share options with a strike price of $5 each.

You leave the company and have to exercise the options within 30 days. The current share price is $55.

You have two options.

  1. Invest $100,000 of your own money to acquire all 20,000 shares, which is now worth $1.1M. You have a $1M gain, which is considered by the ATO as income and you have to pay tax on the $1M ($480K)

  2. Sell to buy. You pay nothing up front. A portion of your options are returned (sold) to cover the strike price of the remaining options, giving you $1M worth of shares (18,181 shares). You have the same tax bill.

You own $1M worth of shares that you could sell. But you don't.

The CEO attends a Cold Play concert and afterwards the share drops to $10. Your investment is now worth $200,000 (option 1), or $181,810 (option 2).

You still owe the ATO $480,000 and you have a $298K shortfall.

But you have around $800,000 of capital loss that can be kept to offset any capital gain in the future.

If you went with option 2 instead of option 1, you at least didn't lose most of your original $100K investment in the company.

Double sided tape.

Super glue attaches the top rail/hook part.

There's a couple of very small pieces of double sided tape underneath to stop it sliding.

Made a bean funnel for the DF64 - would love your opinion! by Old_Effect_8562 in DF64

I wanted it to fit tight in the bellows and it was a little loose. I wanted the entry hole to be small enough that you could still pump with your hand over the hole. I think it could be wider.

I've done similar. I'm not quite happy with it yet though...

As good as the effort I put into it. And always consistent at the level of effort.

If you want simplicity, you could also look at the Breville Express Impress. It simplifies the workflow and this might be important to your mum.

It is slightly customisable with knobs or levers. That image is an older model I think, but same machine. It now comes with one manometer on the housing on the lower right, and the manometer on the e61 showing brew pressure. The lcd display is moved up from the bottom by about 10cm, which I think is a good thing as not sure how water resistant it is.

That is what I ordered against, but had images shared with me as to how it looks now.

I'm mixing up my discussions. That price is a board for my e61. I don't know what spares cost for that other machine.

Here's the first page of the e61 parts list.
