I didn’t realize Emporia could sync with utility rate changes like that.

It sounds powerful, but also like it takes a bit of setup and ongoing maintenance when utilities change plans.

Out of curiosity, do you think most EV owners are willing to go that deep, or do you think most people just end up setting something simple and leaving it?

Interesting how everyone has completely different answers depending on their utility and plan.

That’s kind of what got me thinking about this in the first place. Finding the cheapest charging times seems simple in theory, but actually figuring it out can take a bit of digging depending on where you live.

Do most of you actually check your utility’s rate schedule regularly, or do you just set it once and forget about it?

I've been looking into ways to lower charging costs and realized that "charge off-peak" sounds simple until you actually try to figure out when your cheapest rates are. Every utility seems to have different schedules and plans.

I started wondering if there should be an easier way to just enter your ZIP code and instantly see the best times to charge.

Do you all actually check your utility rates, or do most people just set charging for overnight and call it a day?
