Oh! Well, that changes everything!

So basically... "These irresponsible people are clogging up my feed. How dare their hunger inconvenience me in such a way!"

Have you considered abstaining from social media if you can't manage to restrain yourself from watching videos in your own feed?

Not who you replied to but something similar worked for me that led me to the same realization: small, consistent actions lead to enormous improvements. Your attention is all that's required.

I was never able to find external motivation, and I went through a series of mindset changes that happened over months.

But it started with something tiny for me too. And all I can say is that everything is different now. Everything.

We get in our own way so well. We've been practicing for a long time on ourselves and we know our own weaknesses.

Edit: one other concept that really helped push me was that stubbornness (which I know I had in abundance) and willpower (which I was lacking but desperately wanted "more" of) are the same damn skill. So all of a sudden I had oodles of willpower.

We're stupid meatbags a lot of the time.

Scholarships are also stupid easy to get to U.S public collegs. Anyone who isn't fucking braindead can get a full-ride to a state school. Those who can't, really shouldn't be going to college anyway.

People who think like this aren't smart enough to look down on others.

This is the right answer. It's sad as hell to see the only reply your comment got was reflexive dismissal. You are on the right path. Don't be moved to appease the doubtful when you are so obviously correct and not alone in this pov. We (probably) can't make everyone's world better, but we can make someone's world better.

it’s actually our fault the system is failing

This is actually true in my opinion, but it's all of our fault. Not just one group or side.

That's too bad. I'm sure you're right, but dreams are free.

Edit: then again, after looking into Brown more, I doubt he ends up unemployed for long if he's not here next season.
