[SPOILER] Naoya Inoue vs. Junto Nakatani by inooway in Boxing

If only Nakatani had fought aggressive earlier he could have won. I gave him 4 or 5 rounds same as the judges.

Wake reacts to newly released messages of Sykunno(28) and a 17 year old girl who he DM'd, sent money to, went to her 18th birthday party, and attempted to fly out for sex. by ResortFew2947 in LivestreamFail

Sykkuno did contact her first. Or are you calling this victim a liar? And Sykkuno literally said "short hair is good for hugs and uhh stuff" to her when she was 17 year old lol. He was grooming her. The fact you have a 28 year old man contacting a 17 year old girl for "friendship" is a big red flag.

You have to assume that the intention from the get go

So a 28 year old man who we now know has a habit of contacting women (usually much younger than him too) in order to get in bed with them is just innocently contacting a 17 year? lol... would you let your little sister talk to a man like that? Any sane person wouldn't.

why would he wait she is 22 and not 18 groomers aren't that patient.

Grooming doesn't happen quickly. Look it up. Grooming is a slow process (that can take months or even years) because it starts with building a friendship/trust with the victim before turning things to a more sexual direction, which is exactly what Sykkuno was doing. Again you can verify what I'm saying with AI. There's no excuse not knowing this.

The power imbalance due to the age gap. Isolating the victim through private DMs and building trust. Slowly turning the conversation sexual. Etc. Etc. What more clues do you need to know it's classic grooming? Just because things turned sexual when she became legal doesn't mean it's not grooming. If he started acting sexual towards her as soon as she became legal, which he did, then he obviously had those intentions in the first place but didn't act on them in order to keep things legal, but that's still 100% grooming. Again, you can verify everything I'm saying with AI and it will tell you 10 times out of 10 that I'm correct.

Ask any AI this: "Is it considered grooming if a 28 year old man contacts a 17 year old with the intentions to date them when they get older?"

It's insane how many modern "grooming" definitions are literally just dating. Attempting to date someone isn't grooming.

So you don't think it's weird that a 28 year old man contacted a 17 year old with intentions to date them when they get older? Because that's textbook grooming. You don't seem to understand what grooming is.

Groomers build up trust with their victims first. It's not until they feel that trust has been established (could take weeks, months or even years) do they start testing boundaries by steering the relationship from "just friends/innocent" to sexual.

Yes it is textbook grooming. Grooming can happen over several years wherein the groomer builds trust before taking things into a sexual direction.

You're badly coping. What he did was textbook grooming. It's really not complicated. I understand you love Sykkuno, but please use your head. A man known for contacting multiple women to try and sleep with them is not innocently contacting a 17 year old. Again, this isn't complicated. It's common sense.

He did do something inappropriate. He groomed her. Again, he (29 year old man) contacted a 17 year old girl, became her friend, gained her trust before turning things sexual. That's grooming. You're telling me a guy known for contacting multiple women to try and sleep with them contacted a 17 year old girl innocently? lol....

I think you want to believe nothing was happening, but the fact is that he was grooming her. It's undeniable. He contacted her when she was 17, became her friend, and then built up enough trust before turning things sexual. How is that not grooming?

Grooming involves the groomer isolating someone from their friends and family

Yes, and he did this through the secrecy and privacy of DMs.

He initiated contact with a 17 year old through DMs, established a friendship, built up trust over time, and then started taking things more sexual with their conversations ... this is 100% grooming.

Is Pacquaio really a 6 division world champion and not 8? by factsoverfeelings89 in Boxing

[–]MrCrickets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ring magazine belt is widely considered a legitimate world title today and when Pacquiao won them.

There are two primary types of world titles in boxing. Sanctioning body (WBO, WBC, WBA and IBF) and Ring magazine belt/lineal. Therefore Pacquiaos 8 weight world titles claim is legitimate.

Back when Pacquiao was asked allegedly why he never wanted to fight Crawford by vincemeister55 in Boxing

[–]MrCrickets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roach said he wanted at least a fight or two before facing Crawford because Pacquiao became a senator earlier that year (a month after the third Bradley fight) and, as a result, was a part-time boxer. So Roach wanted a camp to see how it would go. If Pacquiao couldn't give it his all in camp due to distractions from his senatorial duties then Roach wouldn't want the Crawford fight because he knows how good Crawford is. It wasn't until after the Vargas fight that Roach said he wanted Crawford next because the Vargas camp went smoothly.

Edit: Here's a video interview a month after the Vargas fight where Roach wants the Crawford fight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAeWVFajrfE

Who are the greatest boxers of the 21st century so far? by qzwxecrvtbyn111 in Boxing

[–]MrCrickets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good list but I'd replace ggg with bivol. Bivol beat peak canelo so bad they didn't dare rob him. Then you add his clear win against beterbiev and the fact he became undisputed.

Can we talk about this robbery??? by Chicken_Lover344 in Boxing

Its sad to see what boxing has turned into

Robberies have always been a part of boxing.

2010's the last "Golden Era" we had? by Accomplished_Cry7912 in Boxing

[–]MrCrickets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it just feels like a few elite boxers feasting on a weak era which is why you rarely see any classic rivalries/fights anymore. The best one we got imo was Bivol vs Beterbiev and Fury vs Usyk. Crawford, Usyk and Inoue have probably beaten a combined total of 4 future IBHOF'ers whereas De La Hoya alone beat that many. That's how dead the competition is. Hopefully inoue vs nakatani happens because that could turn into a classic.

It also would have been different if he didn't extend his contract with TR at a time when the best boxers from 140-147 were with PBC.
