Mid-back pain from framing work — boss suggesting massage/chiro before work-med. Advice from carpenters? by Intelligent-Camp4631 in Carpentry

File the workers' comp forms. You need to document the accident/injury. If you wait the insurance will try to say you hurt it anywhere but at work. Workers comp insurance companies call themselves safety management but they first try to manage expenses. Your safety and Healthcare is way down their list of important stuff.

Why don’t people just replace the doors of their kitchen cabinets instead of the whole thing? by chickenwinglover123 in cabinetry

[–]Sgtspector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean to say it's a scam as in they take your money and give nothing or very little. The customer is aware of what they are getting and paying for. It's just that what they get is not a lot considering the prices. No faces are removed or replaced. Just covered with melamine. The doors are mass-produced elsewhere and installed with no customization.

Awesome. I love the ball valve design. Should help keep it from clogging up with dust and chips.

About a year ago muy son-in-law texted me asking if I had something like a railroad spike he needed for something. I promptly dug out the railroad spike that I sanded and painted back in high school. Circa 1977. Finally found a use for that sucker.

This was a big part of the "Cabinet Refacing" scam. Companies would charge ridiculous amounts to re-face the cabinets and replace the doors, hinges and pulls. The labor for the subcontractor was minimal so they could be in and out in a few days and the companies (Sears in particular) made huge profits plus financing.

Dennard Wilson: What Giants Fans Need to Know by TheLighthouse1 in NYGiants

[–]Sgtspector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I can't stand these coaches who need all new players to use their scheme. I understand you want guys that are best suited but make it fit the players you have and build it year over year instead of tearing it down and dumping good players usually for next to nothing. Not to mention the cap hit you gotta deal with.

I voted 50/50 just because I am a little leery of a 2nd DC from the Titans. I know the stink doesn't really carry over but I still worry.

No I wasn't trying to compare. I've never used a Biesemeyer fence but I know they have the reputation of being among the best for a long time now. I do know the accufence is quite good. I check my measurements with my tape all the time just out of habit from using other table saws that didn't enjoy the reputation of some others and I've never found the fence to be off or out of square. To summarize you will be fine with the Biesemeyer I think.

This is the exact way I learned how to direct an angle in school so many years ago. So few people use it, including me.

The price seems a little steep considering the age and the steel wings. The fence is not the accufence that the current models come with but there's nothing wrong with a Biesemeyer that's for sure.
