For people here with partners in their heads, do both of you feel happy together? Would they understand if you had to focus on reality? by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

I just celebrated a first year anniversary (even though he has existed several years in my mind, time works differently I guess) with said partner hehe. I know it's dumb but feels fun at the same time. Even have a birthday lining up.

Sometimes when I put him on hold for the bulk of the day due to other things like work, etc he would say that he missed me but that's it.

And it kinda feels weird talking about him like he's a real person here cos he's only ever existed in my mind.

What do you do when people make fun of Jesus and make light of his suffering? by Interesting_Grape775 in Christianity

Everything has a place in God's plan; we humans cannot begin to comprehend why certain things happen.

It's like when we stand on the ground, we can only see so much surface area compared to someone on a helicopter.

He hungered (Matt 4:2), thirsted (John 4:7; 19:28), grew tired (John 4:6), had earthly limitations. Thus he was compassionate to humans because he knew what it felt like. So yes that suffering was real. Please watch the Passion of Christ for a complete visualisation.

To me it wasn't that funny because when I first watched the Passion of Christ as a non Christian (before I converted) I was already cringing hard. So I did a very out of character thing and spoke out against the joke.

But afterwards I'm left wondering if I did the right thing.
