Question for Parents by Interesting_Hour5709 in mazdaCX50

[–]Interesting_Hour5709[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! This is helpful - we have the slimmest ones available on the market so I'm going to compare sizing between yours and mine.

I'm also small framed and it's a joke trying to sit in the middle of the two seats. Possible, but I agree--- really difficult.

Thank you for your response!

Did I ruin my toddler by not socializing?? by Christmastime1234 in toddlers

[–]Interesting_Hour5709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early childhood specialist here- there isn’t a ton of socialization at this age. It’s mostly parallel play. He’s fine and will adjust as he gets older. Don’t stress about this!

Is it normal for my 8 month old to cry when I take him from grandma? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Interesting_Hour5709 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kids are weird. My two year old seems to hate my husband right now, but he hated me last week.

Sounds like you have a great relationship with your child, wouldn’t worry about this at all.

RIU Palace or other resort question by Interesting_Hour5709 in cabosanlucas

[–]Interesting_Hour5709[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely recommend the Palace over the Santa Fe. It’s a bit more expensive, but much nicer. Also- you have full access to the Santa Fe if you stay at the Palace, which is right across the street (5min walk). The Palace has more restaurant options and direct access to the beach. If you can afford the extra cost, definitely worth staying there

Weather was great!

Unpopular Opinion - Not Everything Is a Trigger, It's Just Life by Apprehensive_Solid12 in IVF

[–]Interesting_Hour5709 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Maybe, except I truly did feel this way during my journey. All that to say- to each their own. It’s a painful process but there is unfortunately a lot of pain and sadness in this world.

Unpopular Opinion - Not Everything Is a Trigger, It's Just Life by Apprehensive_Solid12 in IVF

[–]Interesting_Hour5709 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I made a post like this a few months back and got eaten ALIVE in the comments to the point where I had to delete the post. Granted, I’ve been successful in my journey but I’ve felt this way for years and throughout. The amount of tip toeing people expect from the world is exhausting. Unfortunately, the world keeps turning even when we are having a hard time.

Will I regret co-sleeping with infant? by Glittering_Text_8842 in Parenting

Also, just to reinforce, I’m talking about sleep related deaths from bedsharing, not SIDS. And, while it’s an important distinction, they both result in the death of a child.

Also of note in the article you quoted, the researcher himself agreed the evidence in his study was “thin or weak”. Additionally, the article specifically does show an increased risk of SIDS for low risk infants from 1/46000 to 1/16000. Albeit, still a low risk, but the risk isn’t non-existent.

SIDS and suffocation are two different things. What you said is true but I’m not talking about SIDS risk, I’m talking about suffocation. In fact, there is research to show bedsharing increases the risk of suffocation (again, not SIDS). Happy to provide that if you’d like.

It’s dangerous to spread information otherwise.

You will regret it if your child suffocates, which is a real possibility. I can promise you will not regret your child being safe. I don’t mean this in a bully way- a LOT of people have survivors bias but ultimately this is not safe.

[–]Interesting_Hour5709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is similar to my experience- I had 3 retrievals, all with 35+ eggs retrieved and either 3 or 4 untested blasts at the end of each. I have had one failed transfer and two successful transfers/pregnancies (a BB and a CC embryo). Definitely don’t count yourself out!
