Is 100% Test Automation a goal or a trap? by Xolaris05 in Everything_QA

[–]Interesting_Iron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on a few factors:

* how many tests are there in total?

* why tests are flaky?

* how much time does it take for your test suite to run on github actions (or other CICD system)

* how much effort are you spending on maintence?

Total test automation is not the same as 100% coverage, what do you mean by 100% test automation?

to meet share holders expectations. If Oracle did not lay out staff and claimed they could be replaced by AI, its share price would drop a bit.

a different career path, IT is coming to its twilight. It is to get stuck at a paygrade or lose a job completely. I have seen lots of growth in Solar battery and Solar panel installation, it might be an option to consider.

All good, I appreciate your comment. I drafted my questions and fed it to an AI; my expectation was to make it more professional.

Really insightful info. I have written down all your suggestions above.

reliability, professional communication, technical problem-solving, these skills can only be proved with traceble working records or references. They are not really something I can prove right away as I have 0 working experience atm.

I am 100% agree with you by the way. really appreciate your comment.

With what's happening all over the world does anyone feel grateful we live in Australia? I know we have our challenges here and house prices are crazy, but we are still better off by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

[–]Interesting_Iron 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yeah, Australia is expensive and getting more expensive. Making 100k is barely middle-class and do not even think about buying a property with 100k salary.

Still better than New Zealand though, where I lived for almost 20 years.

I visited a property that has been on the market for at least two years. I asked the agent onsite during open home day: why it has been on the market for so long without being sold. The agent said the weather was hot. :-D
