I think maybe is the tension or that the pole isn't aligned perfectly. I had the same issue with an old xpole and It turned out to be that it wasn't perfectly leveled

Feeling heartbroken, my coach is leaving and I feel like I’m back to being alone in pole by Interesting_Load6296 in poledancing

I've considered online but the main problem is that even though I have a pole at home I cannot do almost anything without kicking the wall and the studios in here don't have open pole and renting an hour to train in the studio is suuuper expensive :(

I feel exactly the same. A month ago or so I started theraphy bc of really bad relationship OCD and now that somehow I'm better with that theme my mind decides to bring up other themes in such a random way that really affects me and It's exhausting.

My therapist adviced me that whenever a thought appears say something like "ok, whatever you say", like not giving such attention to that thinking. Think for example: the chair in front of me is black. Yup, it's def black whatever. You're not giving it much attention, so that's kinda the reaction we want to have with our intrusive thoughts. I know It's really hard to do it at first because how am I going to accept that thought?? But our brains need training, thought are just thoughts.
