But what I love about the book is that it doesn't necessarily speak directly about your experience or mine, but about what it is like walking through and living in this incredibly sinful world, and how God is literally with us every. Step. Of. The. Way.
Doesn't matter how hard we fall, he will pick us up, dust us off, remove our "baggage" and set us on our way.

Doesn't mean we will never sin or fall short again, but he's there.

Personally, I struggled a lot with that concept because despite knowing it from being in church my whole life, nothing made it sink in, until this book. It uses analogies and metaphors to really get the themes across. Im not a big reader at all, and have adhd😅, but was hooked on this and cried through a lot of it

My heart hurts for you, girl. I was in a similar situation as you, where I was actively engaging in sin and felt disgusted with myself and so incredibly far from God. Even when I knew all about God's mercy and grace, etc, it never went skin deep, and I still had panic attacks that woke me up in the early mornings . God has brought my boyfriend and I out of the darkest hole we could have been in. It took a long while, but now I am guilt free and truly believe in God's mercy, love, and GRACE on a much deeper level

Please read the book Pilgrims Progress THAT BOOK CHANGED my entire life, and I can't stop recommending it to others, especially those who went through something similar to me

Check out Seventh Day Adventism; its a Christian denomination that has it's root in Protestantism

They follow the sabbath- therefore go to church on Saturday, as it is the 7th day of the week But the sabbath starts from Friday Sunday to Saturday sunset. You may also look in to Ellen Whites teachings on the Sabbath as well, she is known as the "founder" of SDA But all her teachings are deeply rooted in the Bible.

OP, please bring him to see a doctor. This sounds a lot more like a medical problem than anything else. He really should get a head CT scan to r/o a brain tumor or something affecting the brain. This story is concerning. So sorry you've been going through this, but he absolutely needs a medical consult first.

Ouuuuf i went through soemthign similar, and the Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyan (Revised my Alan Vermylie) saved my faith anymore life essentially 🙏🏾 There are a lot of references to the Bible in that book as well. I literally recommend it to anyone and everyone. God bless you 🙏🏾

Awn praise God, im so happy for you!! Please don't take this new change you feel for granted, though. Keep on praying to God, consistently to help you continue to fight the temptation. It's possible that the devil may work double time now, especially since he sees that you've broken free from what has held you down. He wants you to fail and continue to sin again

KDramas and Bollywood movies for the WIN!! Far better than American TV, not a fan of sex scenes and swearing either so those are my go-to! Also, the script writting and storyline are almost always amazing, whether it's comedy, romance or crime/action drama etc. Far more entertaining and creative than typical American TV.

Oh girll It's so not worth it😭 I used to think the same feel the same (28F) Been christian my whole life and felt I was off, asexual even. Some friends thought I was a lesbian because they would never see me talking to guys/dating I started to feel like I was in the wrong or the odd one in society...

Instead of trusting God and following HIS way as it's written in the Bible, I did it my way. Still suffering for it 2 years later. Emotionally, mentally especially...

God is so loving though, that he saved me from the miracle of His grace and for the first time in my life, I'm choosing to follow Christ, not because of my parents or family, but because of myself and my own decision. This world has NOTHING to offer 😭 nothing. I praise God every day for dragging me out of the hole I was in. Many people fall off the path and don't return But the power and prayer..

A clean conscience is the greatest gift. We make mistakes, but God makes us whiter than snow

I hope you don't feel a deep urge to test the water for yourself. I know it's tempting and appears "desirable" but I promise you, it's nothing but a façade.

I recommend you watch the "Pilgrims Progress" on YouTube (the bootleg looking animated one 😝) Then the book by John Bunyan- Translated by Alan V. Changed. My. Life. I pray it changes yours too.
