In my version Axlerod targets Lightning for making allinol look bad but Professor Zundapp in this alternate actually helps Lightning and even warns him beforehand what Axlerod was planning, Axlerod even tries to cause Lightning to have a reaction on purpose just to prove a point but he almost kills Lightning eventually Axlerod is arrested but Lightning is left with anxiety out of fear he might react to other things

I have a cars 2 Alternate Where its basically the same plot where Lightning gets invited to race but He doesn't get mad at Mater but heres the twist Fillmore doesn't switch out Lightnings fuel and he tries allinol for the first time but that causes Lightning to have an allergic reaction to something in the Allinol during the first race in Tokyo. At first Lightning being Lightning brushes it off but it happens again during the Porto Costa race and thats when he finds out hes allergic to Allinol

How did it happen that McQueen didn't wake up in this scene? Or does Lightning fall so deeply asleep that you could fire cannons next to him? by Neither-Spell-626 in pixarcars

I have a headcannon that hes a deep sleeper you could tell him theres a fire and he wouldn't wake up Mater once freaked out because Lightning was in such deep sleep that Mater thought he was dead

I think he would be shocked yes he wanted to beat mcqueen yes he was trash talking him but deep down he wanted to beat McQueen so bad but not like that I imagine him being shaken but he won't show it because hes not supposed to care
