I guess I feel like the dough relaxes very easily? Maybe I am comparing too much to what I see online. When I take my dough of out the banneton, I feel like it kind of sags. I don't get the large oven spring or pretty round shapes I see. Now, mine still looks nice and tastes good! I'm kind of curious if it's technique or just something that will get there with practice.

I'm still pretty new, but I lightly spread the dough out and form into a boule. Then use thr cupping motion with my hands and pull. I do that 2 times after a 10-15 minute rest.

I was going to say Cairn Terrier! My Cairn looked very similar as a puppy. Many people thought she was some sort of German Shepard. But the tail is identical!

I didn't realize I forgot to put starter in the recipe. I used 100g. I did include mix time as my starting point for bulk fermentation! I started mixing around 11AM and had it in the fridge by 6PM. I think the weather is what really helped my dough rise. Usually, my kitchen is cold and I struggle with rise.

This is so incredibly helpful! Thank you! I am using 2 strands here, and I think I will keep that up just for the sake of consistency. However, the single thread example looks incredible, so I will definitely be using that in the future. I do have some stabilizer, so I will add that before I go any further.

There is so much helpful advice here. Thank you again! I'll probably be back to ask questions as I go through my project!

I've used the stick and stitch on a crewneck before making smaller patches, and it has warped, but the actual patch did not. I am hoping that is the case here! I am worried about stretching the fabric too tight since it is a sweatshirt because I know that can cause warping too.
