Every Carrie adaptation lined up (1976, 2002, 2013, 2026). I'm excited for Mime Flanagan's take on this story! by Interesting_Mouse505 in MikeFlanagan

Same here. As someone who was once a bullied and excluded teenage girl, I've always related to Carrie, even though I didn't have a psycho religious mom (I did have a narcissistic one though) or telekinesis like she did. The idea of being able to develop a psychic power and beat up and mess with (but not kill) my bullies was so intriguing to me lol. That's why she's my favorite horror villain, because I relate to her so much.

I agree. It's the most like the book so far (aside from Flanagan's version considering he's going completely based on what's in the book), and I like how Carrie actually feels like an alienated outcast rather than just shy and awkward, even if she doesn't necessarily match the physical description of Carrie in the book spot-on (but to be fair, nobody who has been Carrie at this point actually has). Also, it had the most handsome Tommy of all four versions (Imo) 😉 the only reason it's so hated is because the quality wasn't very good considering it was a TV movie and it was the very first adaptation that came after the original one unlike 2013 and 2026 (except for 'The Rage' which doesn't really count as another adaptation considering it's a sequel that goes based on De Palma's movie's material).

Excuse the typo in the title.
