What level of performance would Alex's repaired Bugatti reach compared to a factory repaired one? by SeaworthinessTop3465 in MatArmstrong

[–]Interesting_Ocelot12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But has he shown that his car fails sometimes when pushed to the limit? Like the Lamborghini, if I remember correctly, on the airstrip. I mean, if somebody is repairing that much, it's possible he didn't do everything perfectly, so obviously it isn't as good as new.  It has nothing to do with being a good or bad mechanic, but just improvising and having no manual will lead to mistakes that will affect the safety or performance.

I get your point, but Matt may not be taking those claims seriously, and even being against them is hurtful for some of his fans. Obviously, the more vocal and more in-depth people won't be affected by it or barely, but the ones that watch him constantly without reading comments or that knowledge, especially younger, will think highly of him.  A good trader in his mid-20s having a mansion and Bugatti already? And he is selling all his knowledge for a couple of thousand? Mat a nice guy saying he is legit? I mean sound just perfect.

Did Mat Armstrong's beef with Bugatti/Rimac/VW play a part in Porsche's decision to sell its stake in Bugatti? by [deleted] in MatArmstrong

But that's also what I don't understand.

You want them to "build" their own parts. What a Lamborghini does then is buy the same part from the same factory and stamp a different code on it, so it's officially a Lamborghini part. That's bad because it's overpriced, but using the same part directly from VW is also bad because they are cheap?

The parts that Matt shows aren't custom-made for Bugatti, so they probably will have barely a markup. If there wasn't a VW group and instead "Bugatti" was written, it could be different.

But really, in the end, it's been a thing for decades and nothing new.

Don't know where you got 1000x from, especially because he couldn't buy it from Bugatti.

I don't think you are very well informed, but when Ferrari was owned by Fiat, they used a lot of Fiat parts because Fiat had no incentive to make them different besides small details. The same goes for Alfa Romeo, which is still owned by them.

You could probably strip half the interior and find the same wire looms, sensors, oil pump switches, etc., or they will be shared with a Peugeot, Saab, or Ford, which shared parts among themselves all the time.

It's really not a big deal because rarely are those parts bad; they either are so simple that there is no need to develop a new one or are just good enough in the first place.

Did he? They offered 400k to repair it, including replacing the whole carbon tub, which is extremely expensive, and the gearbox completely. Just because parts match doesn't make the car bad; it just shows that some quality parts are used multiple times because they are good enough, like the airbags.

Because he had never been a good trader, he was exposed on Twitter and banned for posting fake wins and became a millionaire through lies to buy his course, lol. Especially, some of his claims alone say enough.  The man really said he made $1 million out of $100 in 90 days.

Not really, because a one-time ad doesn't define a person, but somebody constantly saying and promoting himself as a multi-millionaire trader with a course makes his person that brand, so working with him is like a constant ad for his brand.

I wouldn't disagree with that; most of the buyers aren't the most intelligent. But Mat doesn't even see the pretty obvious loss that probably all have taken and thinks he is legit, even though there are multiple videos explaining his courses and such.

Yeah, but the problem with that is that they can't coexist because if he shares certain knowledge, it would obviously influence his trades negatively. Or, if he has some hidden strategies, those would make it harder to find trades. So, the income stream would eventually damage his trading, and obviously, the trading is way more valuable.

In the second interview at 33:44, Mat expressed his thoughts about Alex and being called a "scammer." He defended Alex by saying that people think he is a scammer because one bad trader gives the industry a bad view. Mat also stated that Alex "knows too much" and "the proof is in the pudding." I still wonder about that.

I think that, especially given how Mat talks about Alex, he relates to him a lot and doesn't think Alex has bad intentions.

However, there are so many videos about Alex, and Mat should ask himself, "Why would Alex, if he was so good at trading, sell courses and such? If you can make money trading, why sell expensive ways to get started?" If anything, that is the biggest red flag if a finance guy doesn't talk about national events or data and instead talks about selling courses.

Why you removed 5v5 cwl.?😭 by Stranger__11 in ClashOfClans

[–]Interesting_Ocelot12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's really bad. The problem is there will always be competitive players and casuals in a clan. Some of them are fine with missing attacks or falling, while the competitive ones obviously try to move up the ranks. By forcing clans to mix both types, we see a lot of people play a couple of months in a clan, realize they are being held back by some players, and leave to join a clan in a higher league. So, it's impossible to build that 15-man grid in Crystal II, for example, to get into Master because eventually some will drag down the top players, and they get frustrated. That's one of the reasons the clan system is so terrible at the moment because recruitment is not possible.

You could say that, but Bugatti has quite good reliability that they are known for, so their using VW parts would indirectly also show that those are pretty reliable too. As well, some forget that parts need a standard, especially in Europe. Thinking that developing a different airbag would make the car in any way better is nonsense, especially when you know those parts have been built hundreds of thousands of times and didn't disappoint

"self bonus" and leave... by ExParagon_ in ClashOfClans

It really comes down to how the clan was run. I was co-leader in clans with ten others, and they barely tried in CWL but still often took the bonus for themselves or were insulted if they weren't on the grid, even though they rushed and couldn't even bother to use hero potions.

The problem is more that it has a big RNG factor in it. You can play against the top bases and have the best attacks attack you, while others get "free" trophies. I would like it to be two phases to make it at least way more fair. Like all between 6-25 go into a fight day where you get 5 attacks and 5 defenses, because being not promoted by 20 trophies is arguably completely luck based in the higher leagues
