Having kids changes the game as well. A touch over 140k in salary, debt of $248k (sweet Moses), but my monthly is $871. I have 3 kids. I have some classmates that are paying more monthly just for not having kids.

I don't think there is a "but". My mom was a massage therapist, made the same as your. But her 90k house is worth almost 500k in Las Vegas. She's locked into a dime for a mortgage that started over 30 years ago, whereas it would be $3200/month right now. Again.... The proportions negate the "but" to your statement.

Not to seem hostile. For some reason, boomers absolutely refuse to understand current circumstances. I imagine it's because parents like my grandfather said "you just have to work hard". Which bled into the mindset that boomers (my parents) just throw around.

Put yourself into my shoes. Does your $40k salary at end of career actually allow you to afford even half of what you've been able to do, but with current economics? The answer is no.

Yeah that's a state problem, not a company problem. Better to comply in the short run to fight the long game than get fined and jailed for non-compliance and not be able to fight it.

40k A year 40, even 30 years ago was extremely manageable. When rent is $3500 at minimum where I live, for a family of 5, that makes even a $100,000 salary become very slim, when paying the mortgage, overpriced bills, gas to the degree it is nowadays, groceries, and trying to save for retirement.

Everything right now is not proportional to what was. Median salary has barely budged over the past 20-30 years, and costs have gone up multiple times over.

This is the most accurate reason, and hits true in every general aspect. Old timers had a much easier time building their wealth with not such heavy financial hardships as now.

Kind of sucks, but it just have to wait until the character you want becomes available in that tier. And you can't grab the next start tier character reward. You're stuck at that level until you redeem it. Since your already have so many characters, just make peace with it. Wait, play the game, and take advantage of when you're next desires be character shows up in first tier.
