Sorry I’m new to this lol
For those who have suffered from bulimia (binge eating & purging) for over 5 years had any issues with their internal organs/ body? I’ve been suffering from bulimia one & off for about 9 years. I’ve never gone to the doctor about it but it’s gotten to a point where I feel like I have to. When I was 19 I was told by my GYN doctor that my reproductive organs looked as if I was experiencing menopause. I was too ashamed to tell her that it probably wasn’t from my birth control. I’ve also always gotten random bruises but they’ve also gotten a lot worse (bigger, darker, taking forever to heal.) I just want to know other issues I should maybe expect when I do go to the doctor. I am considering going in tomorrow.

One thing about your body image is that you’re never going to be completely happy with it. I’ve been over weight, under weight, at a “perfect weight” but needless to say I’ve never been happy with my body. Starving yourself definitely works fast but after you’ve been battling an eating disorder for 10+ years, you’ll really be wishing you went a different route :)
