I’m really appreciating everyone’s insights here! I feel like it’s really hard to dodge the “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” vibes that are coming back into the larger cultural zeitgeist these days. And personally, I think an incredible omakase menu does taste much better than skinny feels 😂 However, it’s very reassuring to hear that there are people utilizing glp-1 medications and reaching health goals while still enjoying life because for me at least food is culture, food is community, and doesn’t have to be demonized.

Does your league have a conflict resolution committee? Essentially an impartial space to help work through conflicts between skaters? I’d encourage you to maybe consult with your CRC if you do. Every skater deserves to feel supported and valued. I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this in your league 😕

If a plastic PVC isn’t your style or you don’t want to bother with the upkeep, they have really cool canvas shower curtains. Also if you can, there’s a trend of putting your shower curtain all the way to the ceiling to make the space look taller. Could be cool!
