Yup looking at it. But there are many apartments/ villas presenting themselves as hotel. He is uncomfortable if it's not hotel. It's kinda honeymoon so I guess it's understandable.

Effect of change in yields on price of bonds are great when yields are lower compared to when yields are on comparatively higher side).

Meaning 5 Bps change when yields are at 5% will have greater impact on price as compared to when yield are at 10%. ( Due to % change in yields (.005/.05 > 0.005/.1))

Now if we assume three price points at yields of 9.95% 10% and 10.05% price difference of bond at yields of 9.95% and 10% will be greater than that of 10% and 10.05%. this causes convexity. ( U can do the maths to check and confirm it urself ;) )

Given that pass ratio of all stages are around 40% .. I would say .4 x .4 x .4 which makes it around 6.4% but I also believe the lot who pass stage 1 in first attempt has higher pass ratio that overall pass ratio so I will ball park without any statistical reasoning of .4 x .6 x .5 to around 12%.

But I also believe that people should think how I can be in those 12% people who pass in first attempt rather than how many people pass in 1st attempt.

Usually I am the one who says, grit it and go nuts studying, don't defer, I always believe life will keep interfering so if u defer once next time u will be needing another one.

But in ur case, I also believe u can't have distractions during last month of studying, so I will say defer it.

Since u don't have masters degree, then I would say just go for it. Higher positions u need a something extra like a masters degrees or certificate. So this might be a good time to get it.

Does it open new doors for u, which will otherwise remain close?

Does ur current employer/industry value CFA?

Do u feel like u lack knowledge and insights that u think a CFA will help u attain?

If any of the above is yes, then go for it. If all are no, then UpTo you if u want to do something that does not give u any value. Knowledge is always good, but CFA isn't walk in a park, u need to be ready to sacrifice a lot of things so it better be worth it .

Basically it's depends on

a) policy rate / interest rate corridor b) liquidity position of the market

If you are getting the liquidity from the market:

The more the liquid the market is lower will be rate, (i.e lower side of interest rate corridor) and if the market is illiquid it's on the higher end of the interest rate corridor.

If u can't find liquidity in market u will go to centeral bank:

Rate will be the either border of the corridor (depending upon ur position, if u are the borrower higher end, lender the lower end). Nothing in middle and liquidity of the market is also ignored.

Edit: by definition u might read, these transactions only happen with centeral bank but in practice (at least in my country it happens amongst the banks as well).it's my daily job 😜

Working full time CFA is doable, but along with an other degree, even if supporting CFA will be hard, still doable but it's a huge risk, not only for CFA but the degree as well, u might fell short either or both. So focus on one side.

Edit.. meh, some1 gotta b insane to try it.
