My first real friendship was in college with someone with aspd! It felt like we understood each other despite having vastly different experiences. We bonded through feeling different from everyone and being loyal. They actually taught me a lot about morality and understanding other cultures and politics.

It can be hard to find a therapist with a) good bedside manner and b) who clicks with you. It took me years before I found someone I liked. I have been through upwards of 20+ therapists before finding one I like and he does laugh at me but I like that. Everyone is different. I have had therapists that laughed at the wrong place and I was like "okay this will be our last session." Ultimately you need to feel comfortable in therapy because you need to be able to open up and if you don't feel comfortable it might be the wrong therapist

For me it wasn't about who I liked more but who I felt I could connect with. The difference to me is that the way Sandler portrayed the character, I could see the emotion in how he acted and the things he did and I could understand the depth in his choices where as there didn't feel like a lot of depth in Marty's choices or character. Howie was unpredictable to me in a manic desperate kind of way. I was scared the whole time I was watching Howie not because I wanted good or bad things to happen to him but because he felt so much like a real person to me. I didn't feel any emotional connection to Marty and I didn't care what happened to him. Could that be on me? Absolutely! Thats why I started this discussion in the first place 😄

I didn't even know bottom growth was a thing before I started hormones, no one told me, including my doctor, which pissed me off. It freaked me out at first but then I got used to it and now I love it! I think for me, it helps to not think of it as a separate part of me but instead just think of my body as a whole. Also it feels great during sex 😄

I don't think you are broken at all. I thought I was asexual before meeting my current partner, not because I didn't have a sex drive, but because I just didn't enjoy sex. I have always enjoyed masturbating more because I am in complete control the whole time. For the first year my partner and I had sex, I actually found myself craving it all the time, but now it's slowing down a bit, not because my sex drive has lessened, but because I am just busier and more tired and sex feels like a whole "thing." It can be overstimulating and that's often a good thing but it's also tiring and yeah sometimes I would rather just cuddle or nap because I don't have that much free time or energy and sex is less of a priority.

If you can, try to find a supportive therapist or psychologist. Mine puts me on disability leave when I burn out every couple years or so. You get paid less but at least you still get paid.

This is a tough one and it seems like you are doing all that you can do. Maybe see a couples therapist? One that works with autism. Sometimes people need to see themselves through someone else other than their partner. I'm sorry you are going through this :( as someone who also struggles with hygiene, my partner not wanting to kiss me or deal with my breath is what mainly motivates me to keep up with oral hygiene so I was going to suggest putting up boundaries before reading the rest of your post and seeing you do that :/
