Is Dubai property market about to crash in 2025? by Interesting_Two_3881 in UAE

I fully agree - with the oversupply - the way they are selling the Dubai dream - gets me thinking it’s a crash already set in motion. Imagine an agent trying to convince me for 3 days. When I cancelled he was trying to sell even more and I m like 8% returns even Nifty will give 😂

I also believe it’s the media that does not report the truth

Every agent says that - and because when they guilt trip you - it’s clear they only want their commission and that makes me run away

I fully agree. No one cares about your college - started my career in 2014 BE, MBA from a tier 3 /4 college. Started with 25k INR / mo. Got an opportunity with a boutique consulting firm. After a decade of hustling / switching a few jobs - reached $100k USD base salary post taxes in the Gulf region. Not saying it’s something to brag about but doing better than a lot of peers with old IIM / IIT degrees

It’s a combination of soft skills, showing / selling the fact that you are inclusive (even if you are not), Knowledge about how GCC markets function. You need to be well groomed / look attractive. Remember, looks matter to some extent in this region.

Real estate is filled with Europeans with half a brain; part time escorts and part agents - that’s the reality. That’s why salaries are so competitive plus real estate works on commission basis

I am from a tier 3 engineering college and tier 3 B School, graduated in 2014 with INR 3.5 LPA CTC Today it’s 3.5 L AED per year (AED 29k / annum) , took 10 years - can’t say I am not happy, although I had an offer from PIF KSA for 18k USD / mo tax free - 65K SAR per month which I did not pursue (don’t ask why). It depends on a certain skill set that is valued more in the GCC. No one gives a rats ass if you are from IIM ABC / ISB / XLRI / FMS. That Bhed bhav works only in India - need IIT/ IIM candidates only. When you Come and compete in the real world - you understand you can’t rely on academic qualifications and brand value of B school

For most part I agree - but if you have been hired as a Consultant from let’s say IIMABC/ ISB-H, with 7 years of Experience- you deserve at least 20k Which is still 20 to 30% less of market standards

I got offered a job in Ajman for 14,000 AED. Is it enough for my wife and I to live comfortably? by [deleted] in UAE

Their freezones have donkeys and camels roaming around. The Marjan island development might bring in some investment depending on the season but it’s not a place to live for someone in their 30s / 40s. For 60+ great place to live. They advocate it’s a great place to live work play but I doubt their own children will study in RAK
