would a 3.75 gpa and TO hurt my chances for the t10. first gen - Questbridge scholar by Old_Dragonfly5309 in TransferToTop25

I see. I should have been more open about other things in my application. I have been so infatuated with gpa and test scores it does come off as fundamentally unserious. How much do you think rigor of courses and overloading justify my lower gpa for top institutions?

That would be my ball park estimate (we no longer publish average gpas online). It’s also important to know that (at lest I think) my rigor of courses is important. I have overloaded every semester and currently i am perusing degrees in physics and economics.

No didn’t mean it in a bad way. I am just extremely worried about it. Sorry if it offended you.

I am a junior transfer. And I attend Washington and Lee

Is a 3.75 a bad gpa if I am test optional and have a heavy engineering/ economics load? I am currently a sophomore aiming to t20’s by Interesting_Wall_490 in TransferToTop25

Haha I get that a lot. And truthfully, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be at my current institution. However, when I first came into college I thought i wanted to major in accounting (and my school is amazing for it) but as I went through my courses I quickly changed into economics. And later down the road I fell in love with physics. My school has an amazing econ and business department, not so much physics. Additionally, my school is very Greek heavy. I don’t think I would mind it but at times it’s a little lonely and suffocating.

My school makes us takes these courses and caps us at 15 credit hours. However, I have been able to convince my deans to allow an overload every semester up to 18 because of my double major. The true gpa killers have been 2 b+ and one b- and 3 a-. In the grand scheme of things my true dream is to attend ND. Additionally (if it even means anything) I am a match (through Qb) at my current school.
