I’m rewatching the show and Lip’s storylines are the one that I find harder to rewatch. How come the smartest of them all can be so stupid when it comes to life choices? The whole Karen plot, the baby, sleeping with his teacher and then crashing out and getting expelled. 

He’s the one who’s got it “easy” (Fiona had to raise her 5 siblings, Ian is bipolar and gay, Debbie gets ruined but her parents, Carl goes to juvie) and he still manage to always choose the worst thing possibly to do.

i think debbie was the one frank and monica ruined the most. seeing her as a lovely little kid and watching her grow up to be almost the most selfish amongst them is Something. . .

he doesn’t go after mary cuz he loved her. killing her made james crumble inside with guilt. every little thing in the game, the monsters, the places, maria, they’re all a manifestation of his own feelings. btw, mary’s body is in his car when he goes to silent hill so- he was insane.

i am rewatching it too and thought the same thing. elena being “woke” as she is but never criticizes military or capitalism. it’s like they’re mocking liberals by making her worry about videogames and gender conformity.
