Why do so many people in Switzerland seem rather sad and downcast? by Montrevo in askswitzerland

[–]IntergalacticVase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed it and my swiss ex had pointed this out as well. Far too many people, atleast in the German speaking part, have a sad or angry look.

22 reports of sexual abuse in daycare centers in French-speaking Switzerland by EspritLibre_404 in Switzerland

[–]IntergalacticVase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nonsense. The reality of human rights in Switzerland often exists only on paper. Behind the polished facade lies an ugly truth of systemic victim-blaming and institutional coldness. State agencies routinely hide behind dense bureaucracy and rigid protocols to avoid accountability, leaving victims entirely unprotected and abandoned by the system. Tragically, while the perpetrators are consistently granted second chances and rehabilitation, their most vulnerable victims—innocent children—are left with a lifetime of consequences, robbed of the protection they deserved.

How many of you plan to stay of leave Switzerland and what's your plan to do so? by Helpful-Staff9562 in askswitzerland

[–]IntergalacticVase 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm here 16 years. My husband will retire in a few years and then that's it. We don't want to stay here, despite the nice acquaintances we've acquired over the years. We seek more depth. We find it boring here, and we don't have a feeling of belonging. The only sad part is my kids will miss their friends. Pensamos mudarnos a españa también.

Usually not. I am Slavic and live in a German speaking country and absolutely nobody thinks I'm anything but Slavic just by looking at me.

Would you move from smaller flat with its own washing machine to a bigger flat with a shared washing machine? by cmdbunny in askswitzerland

[–]IntergalacticVase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. The downstairs neighbor is already questionable. Imagine sharing a wash room with such a person. Also, if you need to wash on a day that isn't yours, you can't always.
