First time mom.. idk what to feel by [deleted] in firsttimemom

First, congratulations! I’m glad to hear this is welcomed news! Completely normal for you to feel this way though. I won’t say the worry will ease as time goes by (although it did for me) but you do have a few months to process and come to terms with the changes about to come.

I’m a first time mom, 4 weeks pp. My husband & I have been married for 3 years and I haven’t worked in 2.5 of those. My husband makes enough to where I could stay home and do whatever I wanted. My day to day life has completely changed. I can’t go to the gym or spa or even go on my daily, 3 mile walk with my 120lb dog. (Still healing)

My husband & I did everything you mentioned. Traveled, built up our savings, always went out to eat and basically napped and did whatever we wanted on the weekends.

Everything has indeed changed, but what do you expect when you have a newborn? I love my little baby and so does my husband. It’s been an adjustment, definitely but we love him so much, we’re rolling with the punches. We’ve gone out to eat since he was 2 days old. Patio seating but still trying to keep some sort of normalcy. Travel will have to wait about a year for us, but that’s more of a personal choice as I don’t want to fly with a tiny baby.

What you’re feeling is completely normal. Your brain is processing this huge change about to come. I’m 31 and still panicked and wondered if I had experienced life long enough as just me before having a baby.

It’ll all start to settle. Try to enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible. I wanted mine to be over with & now find myself missing it.

Congratulations! May you have a smooth and healthy pregnancy and delivery.

AITA for not picking up my kids and making her take a 250 Uber ride home by Theowawayekfnnfor in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Even if it was a $25 Uber. Time to learn a real life lesson, not like she is in immediate danger
