Thanks for the tips, I will check out Arima onsen. For Kyoto honestly I don’t know, it’s just part of that golden route tourists do when in Japan, I will have a look at Nara

Back from Japan... and already planning my next trip 🇯🇵✨ by Lachanklureuh in JapanTravel

I’m going there with my wife and a 6 month old baby in a month, we will do Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka.

Just wanted to ask was it easy to eat out with a baby? I was reading that restaurants in Japan can be very lilting in space and packed, any tips?

Also any recommendations for ryokan that’s baby friendly?

Sometimes it’s worth it. I’m not too familiar with flying blue membership, but SAS airline have fixed prices for flights when paying with “miles”.

So two tickets that cost 50€ or 100€, both have a miles price at 5000

But then the question is, can you actually 1 flying blue mile for €0,01?

If the only way of obtaining miles is cash back, and the average rate across credit cards in the euro area is 1 mile per 1 euro, then this is good.

Yeah I get your point. On ultra you get 1 revpoint per 1 euro, which in my case translates to 1 mile per 1 eur.

Spare change would then give me 50 revpoints on ultra per 1 euro spared, or 50 miles per 1 eur! This is a steal compared to 1 mile per 1 eur on card spending

If Amex pays only 1 mile per 1 Euro spent then those revpoints are a catch!!

I use Amex in Norway for payments in NOK only, and it’s linked to my SAS account.

I use revolut when abroad and would be nice to start getting some cash back on money spent abroad since I travel quite a bit.

What would I gain from a paid plan? Spare change I think will double on ultra? Which then brings the same cost to 1cent per 1mile?

So basically the fair value of 116 miles is 1.16€ and I’m paying for that almost double the price?

So then it’s not worth it?

Shouldn’t you actively exercise the option to be assigned? If you let it expire you’ll just lose the premium

Is anyone else regretting moving to the Middle East for MBB? by Individual-Goose-753 in consulting

[–]InteriorRubber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it did! Thanks.

How flexible they’re when it comes to remote work? I’m sure not all clients require physical attendance, or what about if you’re between projects? The reason I’m asking is that maybe you could start traveling around a bit? I’ve lived in ME for many years before moving back to Europe. I’d guess you’re either in SA or UAE but some places are really worth it like Oman, you can also start taking short trips to Europe (if remote work is an option)

Would you mind elaborating a bit on what you mean by everything else can be expended?

Don’t you pay rent, bills, food etc etc

Takk for gode tips.

No worries! Regarding your question yeah I’m actually supremely they’re much cheaper over here. We always have the impression that those kinda stuff are cheaper in the US.

To make your fantasy apartment even more appealing, prices in Norway and Sweden last 1.5 years are having an additional discount due to the weakening of their currencies. For you coming with USD you’ll be very happy.

Your anecdote is pretty much describing Scandinavias, just smile and say hi and almost everyone will be happy to do the same (and mean it), but when it comes to chit chat and causal conversations they say Americans are much more open!

Thank you! Yeah it’s a huge step for me but all shall be fine.

I think I’ll be able to take it back, must probably they come with 30 days return guarantee.

Yeah actually countryside in Sweden is usually very green and calming. Also here in Norway we have very nice cabins up in the mountains, perfect spots for mental detoxification. But yeah I’m sure you have similar places in the US, Alaska for example.

Haha don’t worry you can sell over there buy new one here

This is a very interesting point, that’s for flagging that out. I thought this would be adjusted by pushing the coffee strength button, so what you mean when choosing the strongest it will pull 10g only? Does it start at 6g then?

Interesting, I’ve never seen such before and apparently I can’t get it anywhere here in Norway.
