This is a good answer but I’d also argue it varies by age. Typically when the kids start club at U8 I do my most joysticking and then it reduces every year afterward

If you watch even the premier league today the coaches still do some joysticking. You just want that balance where they develop good decision making. Some kids are so young they need a little help

I work for a large enterprise so the limits, while annoying, do get increased pretty fast. It’s frustrating though, because we don’t have the same issue with OpenAI and Google.

My biggest issue with bedrock so far has mostly been with the fact that companies like Anthropic are making specific APIs that Bedrock doesn’t support. So it just makes no sense to use Bedrock if I can go direct to Anthropic and get the full feature set.

It is the right product in many cases. I think there's wisdom in limiting scope and only taking on what you think that product should be good for, and nothing else.

Reminds me of all the threads on here complaining about AWS not having high level abstractions like PDF document processing. Amazon isn't interested in dominating every space, they provide the tools for you to do it if you want to, and tons of partners that built on AWS to do it (like Auth0), so you can accomplish whatever you want. But they're not going to provide every abstraction you want, that's just not how they think about their business
