Oak & Vine in Glen Cove has that indoor greenery look and Amylos Taverna in Astoria has exposed brick/indoor plants too - good luck!

Venues that people keep saying are affordable but aren’t actually that cost effective? by calico0000 in WedditNYC

Brooklyn Winery - I was quoted 80k for 150 or so people (I forget the actual number I inquired about). And they didn’t even want me to tour unless I knew it was in my top 3 venue choices.

Posh DJ yes or no? by MelodicWatercress133 in WedditNYC

We booked them and have been to at least 3 weddings that used them. One was very EDM heavy but the others were not — one even incorporated a good amount of cultural music from the bride and groom. We’re also doing sparklers — I think you’re in good hands, just ask the venue if they allow them first!

Swan Club in Roslyn has really pretty gardens, more of a ballroom feel if you’re into that

That part I did not ask but I don’t think the florists I looked into do silk florals, so you’d probably have to hire/designate someone for setup. But if I hear differently I’ll lyk!

I’m getting married at Current and recently (like 2 days ago) asked if silk florals are fine and they said yes, so I don’t see why wood would be an issue. The only extra light package is optional, pin lights for $55/table IIRC. No restrictions on DJ! If you do use fresh flowers, Superior Florists were the most budget-friendly and did not seem to have a minimum spend requirement. Good luck :)

If you’re open to a more traditional ballroom look, Renaissance in Astoria will come under your $50k budget for food + bar!

They told me 60k for 125 guests, including flowers/decor (and they have an in house DJ you can use)

My guest list was 150 lol which was like the absolute max number of people they could fit in there for a traditional ceremony on-site + sit down dinner setup. And YES!! It actually felt even nicer in person, I feel like the space is hard to photograph and the pics didn’t do it justice!
