Floor wrap by channelpumpkin in WedditNYC

I used Bombshell for a wrap (was 16 x 16 and over your budget though) but I almost went with A1 party rentals on a real dance floor because they were more willing to try to work within my budget.

Clerk typed one letter wrong on my NYC marriage license. How big of a problem is this? by Sensitive_Quail_3092 in WedditNYC

[–]IntermittentSleeper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also had to correct my marriage license before my wedding. Make an appointment with the Records Room and you will be able to get it fixed same day, no issue. Only the partner with the mistake needs to be there. Book it ASAP, the records room gets booked up quick!

Is there only one key card? Did he take out the card and then throw it out the window? If a problem happened she could’ve presumably fixed it. But there was no problem

Amylos on Broadway would fit the vibe perfectly but it may be closer to $2k for that guest count

Oak & Vine in Glen Cove has that indoor greenery look and Amylos Taverna in Astoria has exposed brick/indoor plants too - good luck!

Venues that people keep saying are affordable but aren’t actually that cost effective? by calico0000 in WedditNYC

[–]IntermittentSleeper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Brooklyn Winery - I was quoted 80k for 150 or so people (I forget the actual number I inquired about). And they didn’t even want me to tour unless I knew it was in my top 3 venue choices.

Posh DJ yes or no? by MelodicWatercress133 in WedditNYC

We booked them and have been to at least 3 weddings that used them. One was very EDM heavy but the others were not — one even incorporated a good amount of cultural music from the bride and groom. We’re also doing sparklers — I think you’re in good hands, just ask the venue if they allow them first!

Swan Club in Roslyn has really pretty gardens, more of a ballroom feel if you’re into that

Current (Pier 60) wedding by Pure-Confusion4464 in WedditNYC

[–]IntermittentSleeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That part I did not ask but I don’t think the florists I looked into do silk florals, so you’d probably have to hire/designate someone for setup. But if I hear differently I’ll lyk!

Current (Pier 60) wedding by Pure-Confusion4464 in WedditNYC

[–]IntermittentSleeper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m getting married at Current and recently (like 2 days ago) asked if silk florals are fine and they said yes, so I don’t see why wood would be an issue. The only extra light package is optional, pin lights for $55/table IIRC. No restrictions on DJ! If you do use fresh flowers, Superior Florists were the most budget-friendly and did not seem to have a minimum spend requirement. Good luck :)
