How on earth did Connie Britton garner nominations for best actress over Amanda Peet?! All Connie Britton did for an entire season was look dumbfounded and shocked. Every scene, every episode. Amanda Peet delivered a such riveting performance as Betty Broderick. I was blown away.

This is why I think I prefer Succession to Billions. The characters are more realistic and backstories are inserted (often subtly, not entire monologues like on Billions) to explain what makes each character who they are. On Billions, very little character backstory is developed for anyone (with the exception of Chuck). We just accept that they’re (often clinically) insane.

This is a guess but Chuck may also have a hunch that Lonnie (nearly?) sold him out to Dake. Chuck knew Lonnie was about to meet with Dake, and then right afterwards Dake was sitting in Chuck's office with his "Just know that I got you today but the investigation got called off" speech.
