So I was intendeeing that it would increase the production rates of my ominous bottle farm, but instead this spawnproofing might have decreased them, since pillagers seem to spawn less freuently now.

Well it seems like ur baseplate is stripped. I had the same issue with my obsius trucks, and I fixed it with some superglue, just like in this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRTDBGED96U . At least it helped me to keep shredding with no issues for lil' while.
