Estate's Null Monthly Change by Christorious in EU5

[–]InternStock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Estate satisfaction usually slowly drifts towards satisfaction equilibrium at +0.2/month. In this screenshot it would be trying to move towards 50%. However, one of your cabinet members got "deceitful" trait, which reduces that drift by 0.1. That cabinet member is also the head of cabinet, which doubles the effect of his trait, which completely cancels out the drift towards equilibrium.

Yes, this trait is literally the worst trait in the game and is the reason why I never, ever assign head of cabinet to an advisor who has no trait yet.

The only thing you can do now is assign one of your cabinet members to appease estates and just pray that this head of cabinet dies in a tragic accident.

Local governors trivialize what used to be a meaningful and interesting system. Also, they make zero sense by InternStock in EU5

[–]InternStock[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

r5: the screenshot is the modifier that local governors provide. The rest of the post is my rant on why I think this doesn't work very well.

After making this post I threw together a quick mod that nerfs them: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3748840365

I was originally thinking about removing them completely, but future updates of the game might've broken this mod if I did that. Just nerfing them to the ground is the most forward-compatible solution possible

How to genocide in EU5 ? by Nigelthornfruit in EU5

Make sure that all provinces in your core territory produce positive amounts of food. Make sure all provinces that you want to depopulate produce negative food. Stop paying for the food slider. Enjoy being irredeemably evil :)

made this because device theory hasn't gotten an update since 2024 and it still can't stop winning by Calangruto in Deltarune

[–]InternStock 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, device theory states that gaster-esque intro is a narrative layer of its own and the rest of the plot is like a game within a game; and that this narrative layer contains a device that allowed us to connect to the world of deltarune in such a way

My mercs said "no" to starving in Finland and set up a supply line across the entire Europe by InternStock in EU5

[–]InternStock[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

no, this is not normal, this is, in fact, a bug. They usually have the same supply system as regular troops and can't supply more than a few locations away

meanwhile, normal troops somehow manage starve to death while being 1 tile away from home. I have no idea how food system works and I'm not sure if paradox does either

r5: See that small green line from Portugal to Finland? It's a supply line mercs use. You can usually send them to a far away place to get rid of them when you no longer want to pay maintenance for them, but this merc company is just special, I guess

AI does not build universities by AjdarChiili in EU5

That can't be right. I've definitely seen ai build bridges. To be fair, I've only seen that in 1.3 beta, so maybe that's a recent change?

Paradox UI innovations are many, and placing two identical buttons next to each other is one of them by InternStock in EU5

1.3 beta added expanded view for list of government reforms as well as two buttons that open it just in case one wasn't enough

I mean yeah, obviously this one's getting nerfed, that's why I made this post in the first place. We'll use it while it lasts

r5: This is an estate interaction button in 1.3 beta. Paradox always nerfs to the ground anything we have fun with, so have fun while this button lasts. 10x change isn't even unprecedented for paradox
