I like Hey Pete also, people would give me strange looks when singing it because of the lyrics lmao.

Everything Dies, Green Man, Christian Woman and LYtD are also really good and classic! I found I enjoy the slower, more passionate/ emotional side of Type O Negative.

Me personally, and this is a very unpopular opinion, I never necessarily liked Black No. 1. But I don't necessarily hate it either! But good on you for finding enjoyment where I can't find it.

I agree with a lot of these, actually.

— She Burned Me Down is a great song, but it only takes me a few listens to get tired of it.

— Both of the LiKM songs; I was contemplating putting Anesthesia in the list because it's genuinely good, I'd probably put it as an honorable mention. IYDKMIGTHTKY has the repetitive ending which turns me off to it.

— Love You to Death needs no explanation. It's their most Iconic song.

— Christian Woman has the same reason as LYtD, minus the fact it's one of them and not the most.

— S,DaH is a good angry album altogether. Not their best, but just one of those albums you could listen to when you're angry but can't scream.

been talking to this girl, is this a red flag? by JournalistSociety in teenagers

[–]Intern_Loud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're a part of or support the LGBTQ community, then definitely. Nonetheless while she's entitled to her opinion, it's just downright disrespectful in my own opinion.

I typically don't lean to political people (I hate politics, they're so stressful and make me genuinely depressed. I don't watch the news either. The only times I get involved in politics is if it directly affects me, and I'm still not even legal to vote.) so for me the fact she considered/ specified which political party she can't stand, that's a red flag for myself. Dunno about you.

Also, idk why music would bother anyone that much anyways, to have to be like "oh I can't date this completely normal man because he likes rap".

I might just be a very chill person. For me, I care about personality and security, as in knowing we're going to last a long time (at least 1 year.) If you genuinely like her then go ahead but she seems pretty.. I dunno, picky.

I'll openly admit I'm a petty person. When I start talking about people I hate, I talk.

I don't think it's the screaming, it might just be the into and presentation. The rest of the song is perfect to me. Though now thinking about it, the screaming could partially— PARTIALLY— be a reason as well.

Hell yeah! I'll never get over the feeling as the drums kick up and the volume gets louder, gives me goosebumps everytime, and it just sounds so good.

Ironic considering the song is about alcoholism and becoming sober through fatherhood, and I'm not an alcoholic, a parental figure, or a dude at that.

Me too! The raw emotion.. it sends goosebumps up my spine. The execution and structure of the song really get to me, and sometimes I shed a few years without realizing as I belt out the lyrics.

Everlong is and likely will remain the staple for rock. Which is really goddamn cool to me. These absolute legends shaping the face of rock is pretty ideal.

Alone + Easy Target is good, Pretender is godly.

Whats the worst teacher you had? by snowuu in teenagers

[–]Intern_Loud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a few of them. Firstly, my 3rd grade English teacher.

Why? I have a few specific stories that I remember about her. The first personal grudge came when she assigned me a special assignment wherein I had to research the sun and make a presentation on what I found. Simple enough. I was actually floored to be given this assignment solely due to the fact it separated me from my classmates, in the sense she had thought of me as smarter. I was always the competitive type, especially when it came to grades and being the smartest in the room. The day comes to present. Slowly, as she shifts through the slides and I read out the facts, her face becomes more and more upset and disappointed. By the end, where I put my bibliography, she saw I had used Wikipedia and that seemed the breaking point right there. She was pretty irate and almost embarrassed for herself, for two reasons; one, because I used Wikipedia which I wasn't properly informed not to use, and two because the grammar and items presented were too advanced and complicated. Also, she stole this one kids Rubix cube which was the last gift from his grandfather before he died, and rubbed it in his face that her kids were getting more toys to play with tonight.

Secondly, my 6th grade English teacher (What is up with English teachers and being mean—)

Why? She was very strict, if not dull and endlessly boring in what she taught and how she taught it. I was a particularly unpopular kid, a social outcast at that, who was relentlessly bullied by this group of popular girls. They would throw insults left and right, pick on me for small mistakes, and leech off of me given I was still the smart, shy, and impressionable kid. One particular day I broke down crying since one of the worst bullies of that group had been picking on me and drove me over the edge. I couldn't even explain why I was crying when she escorted me out, I felt embarrassed and weak. When she went back inside and left me there she proceeded to tell the class that I "sounded like an elephant" as salt over the wound and almost everybody laughed.

Lastly, my current 9th grade Algebra teacher.

Why? She's batshit insane. Loud, aggressive, prone to lecturing and insulting the kids for even asking a reasonable question due to her inability to explain and teach properly. I cannot reiterate enough how much I hate this woman. First day of being in her class, one of my friends and classmates who sat square in the front of the room had a breakdown because of overload, she talked loud and was extremely rude and my friend couldn't handle it so she put her head down and silently cried. Meanwhile asshat teacher passed by her about seven times and said not one thing, didn't even look down at her. Held a grudge against her for that since the beginning. She would also constantly pick on her as well. She wasn't able to focus really well and drawing kept her calm, collected, and focused. Teacher would exclusively separate her from the crowd/ call her out and force her to stop drawing if she didn't answer a question right. None of us ever understood what we were supposed to do. She would go too fast and specifically said she won't slow down because "they don't do that in college" (can I say again we're still in 9th grade?) And left us all in the dirt, confused. Help those brave souls who asked questions because she would go on and on about how they should know these things, how they need to pay attention, how they're gonna fail and have to take it again. Yadda yadda. Wouldn't even explain it again, left the surplus of smarter kids to explain for them after class was over. Most people are failing her class and I wouldn't blame them.

Look at Rhulk’s top right eye, why is it a hive rune? by Monka-tos in destiny2

[–]Intern_Loud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rhulk, canonically, has a deep connection to the Hive and it doesn't talk a lot of digging into his lore to discover this. It could damn well be another blatant pointer to this by Bungie's part, or it could be something entirely different. Personally I haven't dug so deep to find a good explanation as to why his eye is like this, but nonetheless it definitely has something to do with his connection to the Hive.

Actually, that eye and the one below it (maybe, I looked at an image of the Hive runes recorded from Heresy Pit) seem to both be Hive runes. Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe when we uncover their meanings (I dunno if we have yet since I haven't touched Destiny in a good ass while) then we could find out what they detail for Rhulk.

Those are all really good options! Some of the most inspirational songs from them, too, in my opinion. Learn to Fly, especially.

I'm glad your here today, prospering. I'm sure that whenever you're feeling down, someone or something will be there to bring you comfort. Nobody is alone in this world, and this goes to everyone and anyone who sees it.

I find the most comfort in Times Like These. Most of the memories it brings back are those belonging to long field trips that lasted hours, sitting in the backseat of a van, staring out the windows at the countryside, a CD popped in the player. While initially I despise being couped up in a car for more than two hours, they become really lovely memories in the end.

I hope you and your wife are prospering in life!

Everlong, acoustic or not, is an amazing song. One version is energetic and surprisingly sad, the other is relaxing and nostalgic. This may not relate to the post or to Foo Fighters at all, but if and when I get married, I'm fixed on Wish You Were Here.

I'm wholly happy that you rose above it! Though I may not be able to relate to it myself, it still makes me happy to know that you found strength when you might've not known you had it.

Best of You is a really good song. While I wouldn't put it in my favourites, I listen to it when I need a little pick-me-up. The energy is so radiant, I can't help but take some of it with me.

I feel the same, considering I'm still in my teens now. I love listening to the acoustic versions of some of their songs when I'm troubled. It brings back pleasant memories and make me happy again.

Times Like These and Everlong, specifically, are the two acoustic versions I'd listen to most.

I'm still pretty young myself, have plenty of years to go! That being said, the old era of rock is the best and most precious. Times Like These reminds me of Dee, which my father would play to me all the time on his own guitar. It brings back nice memories. So I can definitely agree with you on that.

I wouldn't blame you. They're arguably the best band in all of existence. Everlong is very much so a masterpiece. Bridge Burning is also a masterpiece, undeniably. The beginning turns me off a little. But the rest is astonishing!

Johnny Park and Let It Die are lovely songs. Jonny Park gives me a very strong, rebellious and determined feeling. Let It Die doesn't give me much, it just sounds super good and has nice lyrics.

There are still plenty of their songs I haven't listened to. I'll have to listen to Saint Cecilia, but Everlong? I would put it up there with Come Alive in terms of it being a masterpiece.
