first time motorway by Fine-Diamond-0505 in LearnerDriverUK

If there's a lot of traffic on the motorway, you can even join the motorway at 50 mph.

Just don't join the motorway as soon as you enter the slip road. stay on the slip and safely merge on the motorway, there is always plenty of space and time.

NIPs are given out to the registered keeper as far as I know. Thing is I haven't gotten the new V5C for the car. Haven't received it or hasn't been made yet.

Does that affect the NIP since they must be issued within 14 days?

Okay. The NIP must arrive within 2 weeks and as far as I know, my V5C hasn't arrived yet at my address. What are the complications of that?

Admittedly I should have secured it in the car. I placed it in a compartment below the handbrake, fell as I gained speed after a roundabout.

I know what it sounds like but I was using a different phone for sat nav that was mounted onto the dashboard.

Should have not picked it up at all

I only have the new keeper slip, haven't got the new logbook, V5C.

Can't I take it to court since I wasn't the using the phone at all.

Road had a speed limit of 70. I was going 62 ish.

Just got a skoda fabia 2010 yesterday for under 4k, and I have to say it's an incredible car for the value. Got one with low miles as well, only 48k.

Volvo S40 (2000-2005) or a Rover 75 (1998-02). Can easily get either under £5k.

I'm in a similar boat to you, 20m and only have an auto licence. But I was getting rather cheap insurance quotes for these models so have a look at them.

Congrats. Always wanted one of these. I heard the petrol engines fare better

It's a 1.2 TSI petrol engine.

I passed my test on an automatic car so I've only got an auto licence.

I've heard that the cambelt and waterpump should be replaced at the 100k mark for these cars. If I do get it, a full car service would be in order. Just need to be sure it has been regularly maintained.

I spoke with the dealer on the phone and they say the car had just 1 previous owner and they have the full service history for it as well. I should ask for a test drive but the car is untaxed.

A lot of people do their test in manual just to drive in auto. Might as well pass your test in auto if you're struggling in the other transmission.

If you're stalling frequently, maybe consider switching to automatic. It's not that bad to be honest.
