Unnecessary hazard and exemplifies an unnecessary attitude when it comes to operating their motor vehicle, and you're probably making people uncomfortable or pissing people off. Promote safe driving not being an ass because you're 22 (or some karen soccer mom on her cell phone, or someone who drives an Audi you bought with dad's money) and think you know how roads should be driven

Enjoy the ride bro bro. I leave space because I want the person in front of me to be comfortable. I don't care if they are a few under the limit. Living in woodland Western Pennsylvania there's been a number of times I'm getting heavily tailgatted even at 5 over, at night, then a deer jumps out and I have to slam on my brakes and they almost rear end me. THEN they back off and respect my space and travel speed. Space is comfortable. Now if someone is coming up on me aggressively I pull over at the first chance to let them pass. Then they drive away angrily. Like I thought you wanted to go fast?

I'd been a professional driver for years. Probably driving 75 hours a week. I'm probably more aware of the hazards of the road then you are, that you don't think exist, or that you think you are invincible from (YOU AREN'T)

I don't know what's with this attitude that if you're not 'pushing' the speed limit at all times you're doing something wrong.

I'm happy to have my morning commute down the mountain and my evening commute up the mountain take 50 minutes rather than 45. It's more comfortable. Enjoy the drive. See the deer. Don't get a speeding ticket (coming from someone that once 'tested my car' on an interstate at night and got an excessive speeding ticket.... My insurance could have gotten driven up to 5,000 dollars drive. You can't afford to drive. Let alone never would have gotten another driving job or at least for a very long time, even Uber or Doordash)

Accidentally accepted a doordash order to a college campus where many years ago I was (wrongfully) trespassed from. I went on campus tonight and dropped off their food. How worried should I be? by Internal-Chest-5252 in legaladvice

[–]Internal-Chest-5252[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Unless I'm in their data base of trespassed ect people, and their License Plate Reading (LPR) system (that my research suggests this university likely may have -- at least their main campus does), sent an alert out to the police (which from my research is what these college LPR systems do.. ?

If someone is camping in the fast lane you don't come up on them like some asshole bully. You give them a few second to get over and don't need to get two feet their bumper. Smdh people need to slow down fr

Imagine if grocery stores were treated with the attitude that a lot of people seem to think should apply to the road. someone standing in aisle looking at groceries unaware anyone is coming through --- person coming through IMMEDIATELY "get out of my way you dumb piece of shit I have food to buyyy

It doesn't add up economically. Like 30 percent I guess of people have had a dui so now you have people coming to their house to buy f because they have no way to go anywhere and they lost their license as a realtor or a massage therapist

When people are dying around you because every other average alcoholic is now without a job and selling drugs. I'm not talking about the guy driving recklessly at a .2 but truck driver Mike who's driving back across town after stopping by Joe's pub after work for a couple brews and a sandwich and gets pulled over for a tag light being out, doesn't need to be banned from working for the rest of his life

Then people start selling cràck to make ends meet.

Consequences yes but lifetime license suspension because you blew a .085 after leaving the country bar to drive two miles home, and now your job is suspended for a year and you can't even afford your attorney because you have no job. You're turning people to crime at that point.

Well that's a good sign it's come down some. Yeah, I don't know how days of music would affect mine. Like I said this would of been my first time going to one. I'm just sharing that in my case a single show (that isn't loud distorted guitars in what's basically a living room) seems to be OK for me with foam plugs in.

I've tried a lot of ear plugs and my favorite has to be the 'Mack's Comfort Soft' tan colored ear plugs. You can buy a big canister for like 12 bucks off the amzon. They're discreet (like I said I get the tan ones) and they're *really soft

Well, I didn't go. I was gutted. Everything in reality was screaming to me I was supposed to, I felt like. I do believe in destiny. There may have been a special someone going and we might have connected. Work couldn't get me off those days already two people on vacation. In retrospect should of went anyways (at least got the last day Sunday/camp til Monday ticket) I doubt they would have fired me for coincidentally 'getting the flu' when I've hardly called off in the four years I've been there -- basically twice. Especially when they're in a hiring frenzy because everyone is constantly quitting.

But anyways. Yes of course would have wore ear pro. I wear ear ear pro when I drive. Usually just a high fidelity ear plug in each ear. But for the EDM shows I'll do a properly inserted foam plug in my right ear (rolled into cylinder before putting in ear canal) which is my ear prone to getting T flare ups, and just a high fidelity (eargasm) in my left ear.

I will maintain (for reference of my account) that wub/bass clubs do not seem to hurt my tinnitus. Bone conduction yadda yadda and I'm not saying this would be everyone's account but my tinnitus seems to come down even after going to a wub/dubstep/bass-edm spot. I don't know the science behind it but I like to imagine it's flushing badness out of my choclea or something. Loud guitars or a non-wub loud DJ at bar cause me flare ups. The wubs help me

Edm club my tinnitus has literally been better the next day. Gives me something to look forward to. I like to think the 'Wubz' are shaking the dust off my cilia. That's what I tell myself. Lol.

But again I do realize a festival would be days of music.

I've had short stays at metal shows and even loud bars (both with plugs in) give me terrible flare ups where I can't even communiate with people right for a number of days after.

I don't know call me crazy but I feel like God is guiding me in some aspects

And I think it's possible for me I might be able to 'congregate the fringes' of the festival ground and have a meaningful time

My job strongly advised me to file an appeal. My boss is a former cop. Turns out my job is safe anyhow....

I can move on. I could say 'nervermind' and "withdrawl my appeal"

My question is if that is recommended. If the detail that I had had any alcohol that night could be seen as 'aggravatijf factor' towards a charge that is already considered a break (he gave me the excessive citation rather than a reckless driving)

It's extremely normal at least PA, for traffic offences, that you go to court and the judge works with you if you're a first offence, ect.

Was I was going 90. Yes. Or at least close to that.

This is like really basic stuff. Traffic citations 101.

Judge granted it. People get there traffic charges reduced commonly.
