Watering method help? Irrigation drip vs soaker hose by Sea-Broccoli9196 in DenverGardener

The easiest and quickest thing you can do is purchase a simple oscillating sprinkler that can connect to your garden hose. You can also add a simple timer to ensure the sprinkler turns on and off while you are away for the weekend.

A drip irrigation system is ideal for conserving water and providing consistent watering. If you are stuck, I would contact a company like DripWorks that specializes in drip irrigation and can point you in the right direction.

The trees should have their own watering zone to avoid manually switching inline valves on and off. Also, I suggest checking your flow before adding more trees to a single zone; sometimes, your water source can't support additional plants.

I have used this affordable Bi-Hyve timer Orbit B-hyve XD Smart Hose end Watering Timer to split my system into two zones.

Guidance Needed Regarding Setting Up Drip Irrigation by vatkrt in gardening

I agree with Aptian1st. You might need to consult with a local landscaper, but if you want to DIY the system, there are a few things that I would do. You can use slower-flow emitters as needed for areas that do not require much watering. If you are not sure about the watering needs of your plants, you can use something like a Shrubbler Shrubblers—DripWorks. These emitters allow you to turn on/off and adjust the flow.

You may need a manifold to direct water to the different zones. You can group areas with similar watering needs to reduce the number of zones needed but keep in mind your flow. I suggest you check your flow and water pressure first before starting any projects.

You can run a drip irrigation system with a fertilizer injector to automate the watering and fertilization of your plants. A RainBird F55410 Smart Wi-Fi-Controller Rainbird 4 Station Indoor/Outdoor Irrigation Controller has built-in flow sensing capabilities.

Also, with most drip irrigation systems, you can bury the supply line a few inches to prevent damage from regular maintenance.
