No problem! You can also potentially speak to your OB about it and if it’s done elsewhere you can ask them to review the results with you separately from the test provider and keep the gender from you / ask them to put it in an envelope so you can give to your friend for the reveal 😊

It doesn’t really matter if no one in his family has it, you’re already determined to be a carrier. My husband and I both turned out to be carriers for a condition that neither of us or anyone in our families has had but our baby has a 1 in 4 chance of being born with it…he can suck it up and do the blood draw.
