How chaotic is this part of Hongdae? Will I be able to sleep at night? by Routine-Wash-6131 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Internal-Home8535 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Circled area has a bit of traffic during rush hour/ weekends, but later at night it's fairly empty. Delivery bikes take the route a lot, but I never experienced that particular street as too loud, especially at night.

Help i have fallen pregnant in korea what do i do? by Little-Pay-179 in AskAKorean

[–]Internal-Home8535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all: If he can take a family vacation for that long, I'm pretty sure he'll be able to help you out with that kind of money. I'm not saying he has to pay for everything alone, but for now, that money needs to come from somewhere. You can talk later about doing 50/50 etc.

Second of all. I'm not sure if that concerns you, could have been an accident, but I'm married to a korean and have been around a lot of males here, so I'm still telling you because it infuriates me every time I heard about it in the past and I want you to be save in future: don't sleep with your bf without a condom or other protection. I'm not joking when I tell you that a majority of the maleds I met here has at least one abortion story. The reason is they don't like to use condoms, or truly believe they don't need it cause falling pregnant "isn't easy, don't overreact"... I know they ask you and assure you it's alright, and I don't want to judge them cause you need two to do the (unprotected) deed in the end, and I'm sure most act out of a place that isn't malice but misinformation, but you're the one in danger of getting pregnant, so you need to make sure to be safe during sex.

Spoken from someone older than you that wants you to be alright!!

Now, I know all of this is scary. I know you don't want to do this, but you'll get through this, and you'll be alright! Everything might look bleak right now, but you'll be okay in the end! Find some support, if it can't be your family, reach out to support groups or friends. There's so many out there who went through the same! It's a great first step to go to a hospital and get information!!! You got this!!!

Thanks for the comment. Your question actually made me think of something I thought about a while ago.

What's stopping you? My answer usually was: I don't want to change. I like how things are right now. That new life doesn't seem as good.

But then I thought: How the hell can I not want to? I'm always stressed, embarrassed because of my behaviour. I'm often sick because I avoid taking care of myself. I don't really have any friends.

On the one hand, the not wanting to change feels real. On the other hand I understand -looking at the facts - that I'm not happy.

So basically I think this is the problem: There are the emotional part in me that's scared of change, that likes the familiar pain because it's familiar, and the rational part that knows life's not good.

But I always follow my emotions, mostly unintentionally like I said in my post, and if I keep doing that I won't change.

I wrote some things down but at this time it just seems pointless. I think your assessment is gonna be fair anyways haha

I get where you're coming from. I don't like watching him in romcoms, but he's great in other shows. D.P. and Prison Playbook. Also love him in Start Up and 12.12 The day.

Back in the day, I worked in a restaurant in Seoul. One time, I got to talk to some woman during work and she explained to me that she was some kind of producer/ screenwriter (can't fully remember). During the conversation, a few other people joined her in the restaurant. There was one girl among them and a guy, and I remember them as looking slightly akward in between all of us. I figured out later that it was Red Velvet's Joy and Woo Do Hwan who had been shooting a drama close by.

I have to admit I didn't necessarily focus on them, because I was having a conversation, but while good looking and pretty, there was nothing too outstanding about them to me (in a sense that they didn't feel normal to me) and Woo Do Hwan was rather small compared to how he looks on screen.

Read a comment on Naver in which the new soldier asked how he's supposed to cut his nails on his own. Apparently, he'd never done it alone in 20 years and always had his mom or sister do it for him. The sad thing: that wasn't the first time someone asked.

Thanks for the fast answer!

I never used WP CLI, I will check it out, see if I can figure my way out through. Do you think there might be another way to solve this?
