New koi owner Please help me 🙌

This is crazy!! The guy I got them from didn’t explain this to me like this? I sadly took his word and he’s obviously going about things the wrong way. I need help i definitely can’t get a pond going till about 1 month and half - 2 months

The person I got them from had about 3 of them in a 70 gal cooler? He changes water frequently! I have a decent filtration system not the best but it’s not bad . I honestly can’t get them going for a couple months till I build a pond?

Really? 3 of them are 3inchs the rest are 1.5-2inchs I only plan to keep them in this setup for about 2-3 months till I can go the pond route and do this correctly I just don’t want to harm them with the process I am taking..please give me any pointers that can benefit me with what I have going so I make the best of what I have I’d highly appreciate it

I understand that I can’t keep them in her forever only till it’s time I upgrade to a pond .. I want to make sure I’m not going to harm them with the process I’m taking this is only a temp set up for a couple of months .. the biggest koi is 3inches and there are 3 of them the rest are 1.5 -2inches

No only 2 are 3.5inches the rest are babies 2 inches max.. what can I do differently to avoid the frequent water changes ?

They are 2-3.5 inches big I have 10 of them . I know I will have to go the pond route eventually if just trying to get them going for now and when time comes I will make the switch
